We love events that spark imagination and excitement. ✨ Our annual Murder Mystery Dinner is coming up, and this year’s theme is Mardi Gras! Residents have been designing custom masks to wear during the dinner, adding a personal touch to the festivities. It is one of the most anticipated nights on our calendar.

After a short winter break, we were thrilled to welcome back Sophie from Lake Katherine! She kicked things off with a focus on groundhogs, beavers, and other rodents native to Illinois. Sophie always knows how to make any topic entertaining while educational, and today was no exception. She brought along a bag of tricks that included furs, skulls, and even a beaver tail for a truly hands-on experience!

Our hallways are looking extra festive today! 💖 The residents embraced the Valentine's spirit by creating charming heart-shaped door hangers to decorate their homes. A big thank you to our Sales Director, Jenny, for leading this heartwarming program and helping us spread love and happiness with every step.

Science confirms what we already knew: happiness is contagious, especially when it has four legs. We love therapy dog visits for the smiles they bring, but we love the health benefits even more. These interactions are proven to lower cortisol and blood pressure while releasing a wave of "feel-good" hormones like oxytocin. It’s a holistic approach to wellness that feels a lot less like medicine and a lot more like joy.

Since we couldn't head to Nevada, we brought the neon lights to our doorstep! 🕺✨

Our residents spent the month "training" for the big floor, mastering the ropes of blackjack and poker. But the real highlight? A special visit from The King himself! Elvis stopped by to thrill the crowd, handing out iconic scarves and teddy bears. 🐻🧣

For the grand finale, we transformed our restaurant into a high-energy casino night featuring craps and roulette.

We hit the jackpot for a good cause. We are proud to announce that we raised over $1,200 for the Alzheimer's Association! 💜 This is just the start of our year-long fundraising journey. Thank you to everyone who played a hand in this success!

Sometimes, the smallest things bring the biggest smiles. 💛

For National Rubber Ducky Day, we partnered with the incredible organization Ducks For Dementia to gift our residents their very own rubber ducks. It was heartwarming to see the immediate joy on their faces, many shared that they hadn't held a rubber duck since childhood. Watching the memories come flooding back and hearing the lively conversations that followed was a beautiful reminder that joy is timeless.
