Spring is in the air, and we’re thrilled to welcome Theresa Foster, MA, AMFT, to our team. We can’t wait for you to meet her and experience the genuine care and grounded presence she brings.

Theresa is a warm, trauma‑informed clinician who brings more than twenty years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and families in crisis. Her background includes over two decades of leadership within nonprofits that operated Residential Therapeutic Programs (STRTPs), Foster Family Programs (FFA's), and placement‑stability services for foster youth. In these roles, she worked closely with high‑acuity adolescents facing histories of abuse, neglect, and system involvement, supporting youth and caregivers to reduce placement disruptions and strengthen long‑term stability. Theresa also understands the unique complexities of adoption and foster care, bringing deep sensitivity and insight to the families she serves.

Theresa’s extensive background in residential care and executive program leadership gives her a deep understanding of how early experiences, attachment wounds, and survival strategies shape emotional and relational patterns later in life. Known for her calm presence and strong assessment skills, she creates a grounded, non‑judgmental space where clients can explore their inner world at a pace that feels safe and empowering.

She supports individuals and couples navigating intimacy concerns, communication challenges, emotional regulation, and the impact of trauma on relationships. Theresa integrates trauma‑informed care, relational work, and evidence‑based practices to help clients strengthen self‑awareness, rebuild trust in themselves, and cultivate healthier, more fulfilling connections.

W.B. Yeats "The Lake Isle of Innisfree"

I will arise and go now, for always night and day.
I hear lake water lapping with low sounds by the shore; While I stand on the roadway, or on the pavements grey, I hear it in the deep heart's core.
