Ever wonder why you can’t wear metal during an MRI scan?

MRI machines use a very strong magnet to create detailed images of the body. Metal objects can be pulled toward the magnet, which can be dangerous and can also interfere with the images.

That’s why patients are always asked to remove items like jewelry, watches, hairpins, and clothing with metal before their scan.

Your safety is always our top priority, and these small steps help ensure a safe and accurate MRI experience.
