Visually, these two salad bowls LOOK similar, and I bet that's how a lot of us portion out food - by look 👀. But this might be the single biggest reason why you are not losing weight. As you can see, there's more than 50% difference in calories between the two plates. Without really measuring out what you are eating, over-consumption is a real hindering factor to your fitness journey. It's not such an issue for green veggies, but for high fat food groups (i.e., cheese, avocado, nuts, nut butters, etc), the difference between 1 and 2 tbsps over time can be the difference between hitting your weight goals in 4 weeks and 8 weeks.

You certainly don't have to measure your food for the rest of your life. Once you've learnt the appropriate portions for your liftstyle, you become better at eyeballing plus your stomach get used to the amount. But until then, learning how to portion control can be a difference maker to your fitness journey 💪
