Happy Easter from The Healing House!

Easter reminds us that no matter how dark things get, there’s always a chance for a new beginning. It’s about hope, second chances, and rising up—something we’re all doing every day on this journey.

God doesn’t expect perfection. He just wants us to keep moving forward, one step at a time. Sobriety is a daily decision, and every day we choose it, we’re proving that change is possible.

🌟 Employee Spotlight: Meet our Program Director! 🌟

Say hello to our incredible Program Director, Mark Rector, a Houston native, a dedicated leader driven by a deep passion of helping others find hope and healing. His motivation? Seeing people step out of the darkness of addiction and into recovery -- watching them, in turn, help others do the same. With over a decade in the field he brings a wealth of experience - from behavioral health tech to director - level roles. All driven by his own recovery journey and deep fascination with psychology.
When he's not leading our team at Magnolia City Detox, you can find him at rock concerts, riding motorcycles, or spending time with his wife Kelsey, and their beloved pets. He's also a personal trainer and runs a fitness and nutrition coaching business on the side.
When asked about our culture at MCD, he describes it as one built on discipline, accountability, compassion, integrity, and a strong commitment to recovery. It's a place where teamwork and communication drive real change, and where every staff member plays a role in transforming lives.
