Today, I attempted intermittent fasting minus my coffee. Kind of proud of myself, I was able to plow through. Now, I’m enjoying my breakfast for lunch. This is my go-to: scram eggs with spinach, paleo chicken sausage and a slice of Base Culture sour dough bread. I have quite a few things on the agenda for today. Back squats at the gym today. I’m excited about that because it another opportunity for more mobility work. I just got to get hitting PR out of my head. But my mobility training is way more important.

Today, was an interesting one for me! I went back to the trainer bar. Oh my goodness, it was a such difference. When working on sn**ch complex, I usually start with the 35 # bar. Not today! I know for my mobility to get better, I need to drop it down a notch. Y’all, it was still hard. My coach had me ride the squat down as far as I can and hold before standing back up. I was a sweaty mess. Yeah, it was light but it allowed me to focus on form and get low, low and low. 🍑 💪🏻🍑

My workouts might look a tad different these days. Instead of focusing on the PRs, I have shifted to working more on my mobility. I did Fridays workout today but I went super light and paused at the bottom. Pausing at the bottom seems to help loosen me up to go lower. I’m at parallel here but the goal is to get lower. Slowly, it will happen. Oh, I’m also down five pounds. Small victories 🎉🎉

Now that circus is over, I’m working on my mobility. In the four years of doing CrossFit, I known I have come a long ways with my mobility. However, I want to do better. Next couple of months, I’ll be working on depth, hip flexible, more stretching, and weight loss. Since my momma passing, I have put on quite a bit of weight. It is time to focus on me and my health. Oh my goodness, this was so good. My husband has been craving stir-fry. We don’t get to eat a lot of stir-fry because of the girls and my dad. Tonight was our night for stir-fry!!! This bad boy is packed with veggies - butternut squash noodles and peppers, chicken, and peanut Thai sauce. However, there is some rice noodles in there. We kept that portion in check and added the squash noodles to help with feeling like we have “noodles.” This is making it on the menu for another day.
