This is a friendly reminder that we now have sick call every morning. Walk in appointments are available from 8 to 9 AM. Additionally, we will continue to schedule afternoon appointments for those who prefer that time.

We will be available for sick call appointments on Tuesday, January 27th, starting at 10 AM. You can either call our office to schedule a time or simply walk in between 10 and 11 AM.

Closure due to weather

Generally, when the Greene County Tech school district is closed, Paragould Pediatrics follows suit. However, this may not be the case next week. We expect to close on Monday if the predicted precipitation occurs. Our page will be updated on Monday. We are optimistic about being able to open the clinic at some point on Tuesday, but we will monitor the conditions of the roads and our parking lot. Once again, we will provide updates on our page on Monday. We wish everyone safety and warmth during this winter storm.

If your child is unwell today, please give us a call. We have available slots, and the weather seems like it will make going out challenging for some time. It might not be easy for kids to be seen at urgent care this weekend, so we are here to see them today if needed.

Due to the adverse weather expected this weekend, we are uncertain about which days we will be able to operate, and some pharmacies might be closed or have reduced hours. Kindly review your child's medications and ensure that any prescriptions needing refills within the upcoming week are called in today. This is particularly crucial for medications like ADHD medications and inhalers.

It seems that we might experience some wild weather next week. If you have an appointment set for next week and wish to reschedule for this week, please give us a call. We plan to be available next week if we can, but we will keep our page updated with any changes.

*******Morning Sick call*******
Beginning January 26th, we will provide walk in sick call appointments. The hours will be from 8 to 9 AM. Based on our previous experiences with morning sick call, we highly recommend arriving at 8 AM to ensure you secure a spot. We will adjust as we observe how our patients use this service in comparison to our afternoon sick call appointments.
Afternoon appointments will still be available. It is important to clarify that these appointments are strictly for sick call needs. While we have been more flexible in addressing additional issues during afternoon sick call, this will not be feasible with a busy morning schedule. We will focus solely on sick issues during the morning sick call. We kindly ask our patients to understand that this will be a work in progress, and we will adjust as necessary.
We recognize that some parents are worried about having sick call appointments at the same time as Well visits in the office. To help with that, we will continue to allow any patient, whether sick or well, to wait in ther car until their room is ready. We'll have specific rooms set aside for sick visits and well visits. We will do our best to keep everything separate and clean. Since most children are at school, church, shopping, or around family, many parents continue to bring in their well kids when they hear we have sick call, especially if it fits better with their busy schedule.
As always, we welcome suggestions during this period. We are committed to delivering the highest quality care and ensuring we are as accessible as possible for our patients and their families. We value all our families and hope this is a positive change for our clinic.
