He has never done wrong. He is always good. Every time. Hold on to him because he is faithful. Your hope in him is not unfounded. It is real and worth clinging to with all you have.

When a new year dawns, many of us are filled with excitement. We find fresh resolve to make positive changes, and we look to the future with hope for what we can become. But sometimes instead of simply aiming for growth, we set a standard of unattainable perfection. And, when we inevitably fail, we feel defeated. None of us are robots. We cannot and should not expect to perform this way. Besides! Even, if we did attain perfection in any particular area, would any of us actually feel satisfied? No. We would then begin to look at the other realms of our lives that fall short. It's time for this way of thinking to stop. Instead of setting unreasonable goals and then being crushed when they aren't reached, let's recognize that everyone has room to grow in every area. That is not what defines any of us. You are valuable just as you are. You are enough.
