I’m the one behind the camera and managing our social media presence! 🎥📸

As our Community Relations Coordinator, I bring seven years of experience working in an assisted living community, where I developed a deep understanding of the senior living industry from the inside out. Working directly with residents and families gave me firsthand knowledge of the challenges, emotions, and important decisions involved in this journey.

I love working directly with the team showing off our events, activities and day to day moments!

Every great story begins with a moment of courage... and ours started with Jela Maretic, our Founder & CEO.

Jela’s journey in healthcare began over 30 years ago as a nurse, where compassion and care were at the heart of everything she did. Her ability to connect with people and deliver exceptional service led her into the homecare industry, where she spent 12 years making a profound impact.

Then came 2020, a year that changed everything. In the midst of a global pandemic, Jela saw a need for something greater... a homecare service built on gratitude, trust, and humanity. With unwavering determination, she launched Gratitude Homecare during one of the most challenging times in history.

Five years later, her vision has transformed into a thriving organization that sets new benchmarks in homecare. Jela’s visionary leadership has fueled remarkable growth, inspired a team of passionate professionals, and redefined what compassionate care truly means.

Meet Joanne, our Director of Nursing!

Joanne brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and business leadership to the Gratitude team. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Her healthcare background includes experience across three assisted living communities, ICU step-down nursing, and ambulatory surgery, where she worked in both pre-operative and post-operative care.

Prior to her career in healthcare, Joanne spent seven years working on Wall Street, an experience that sharpened her strategic thinking and operational insight. This diverse background allows her to approach homecare with both compassion and precision, ensuring high standards of care for every client we serve.

This week, we had the pleasure of hosting a women's business networking event in our new office. As a women-owned business, fostering these connections is incredibly important to us. It was wonderful to meet and connect with so many inspiring individuals. We look forward to working with everyone and continuing to support and uplift each other in our business endeavors!
