We now offer a non-surgical procedure for patients who suffer from repeat nasal polyps with SINUVA Sinus Implant. SINUVA is proven to reduce polyps and nasal congestion and obstruction.

SINUVA is a sinus implant that treats nasal polyps without surgery. During a routine office visit, Dr. Name will use topical and/or local anesthesia to numb the patient’s nose and sinuses. SINUVA is then placed in the sinus cavity through the nasal opening.

Its innovative design provides a 2-in-1 approach: it is designed to open in the sinus cavity and release anti-inflammatory medicine to treat nasal polyps for up to 90 days.

SINUVA is indicated for adults with nasal polyps who have had ethmoid sinus surgery. For more information about SINUVA, visit www.SINUVA.com.

If you are in need of this procedure [;ease do not hesitate to contact us for a consultation to see if SINUVA is right for you.

In this section, we furnish you with information regarding hearing aids such as the styles you can go for as well as telling you the difference between digital and analog hearing aids. We also share with you the different hearing tests that can be conducted for different age groups so that you know how we can diagnose a hearing problem.

If the ENT physician has diagnosed that you or your child has a hearing problem, it is highly possible that you have to consider hearing aids which can help you or your child hear better as they grow up. Do you know that there are different categories of hearing aids as well as different hearing aid styles? They also come with varied capabilities in facilitating you or your child to overcome the hearing problem.

Before we ascertain that an infant or child has a hearing problem, it is extremely important for us to conduct hearing tests and hearing screening. Every hearing test is not created equal; and that’s why we will conduct different types of hearing tests for children from different age groups. This is to ensure that we achieve the most accurate hearing diagnosis for your child, and can prescribe the most suitable treatment thereafter.

The turbinates are two spongy curled bones that protrude into the nasal passages. They can be found on both sides of the nasal cavity and are separated by the nasal septum. The soft tissue covering them is responsible for humidifying, heating, and altering inhaled air. Chronic stuffy nose is often caused by enlargement (hypertrophy) of the inferior turbinate. Congested nasal obstruction can impair normal breathing, forcing
patients to breathe through the mouth and often affects their daily activities. Enlarged turbinates can also contribute to headaches and sleep disorders such as snoring and obstructive sleep apnea, as the nasal airway is the normal breathing route during sleep.

If you suffer from any of these symptoms please do not hesitate to make an appointment at entforchildren.com or call us at 201-996-1505😄

Bad falls are a constant worry for seniors and others who have physical challenges. And those worries aren’t unfounded. Falls are the leading cause of injury-related deaths and serious health problems in the U.S.

Improving your walking skills — technically known as your “gait” — and your balance are interrelated challenges. Balance and gait are inextricably linked because they tend to impact one another. Even if you don’t think you’re in danger of falling over, that “running out of steam” while walking that you’re attributing to aging muscles could be something else. In fact, the balance and gait systems both rely to some extent on a complex number of body systems that include the inner ear, the eyes, the joint-muscle-nerve system, and of course cognitive functions. Therapy that improves gait and balance works with all of these systems to keep them functioning in harmony. Gait and balance training has a range of benefits, with avoiding injuries being at the top of the list. Beyond lessening your chances of falling or feeling dizzy, you’re also more likely to feel confident with your footing. In addition, those aches and pains from poor posture are likely to decrease as well.

If you or a family member could benefit from this therapy please do not hesitate to contact us and book an appointment at entforchildren.com or call 201-996-1505 😁

The nasal septum is a thin wall that separates your right and left nasal cavities. Ideally, it is situated in the center of your nose. If the septum is deviated, it may make it hard to breathe or impair nasal drainage.

A septoplasty is a procedure meant to straighten the deviated cartilage within the septum. Septoplasty is an outpatient procedure and takes approximately 25 – 45 minutes. Septoplasty is performed entirely through the nose, and leaves no external scars or bruising after the surgery.

If you suffer from symptoms of a deviated septum, a septoplasty may be needed. Please do not hesitate to contact us and make an appointment. entforchildren.com 201-996-1505😄
