Being a sibling of a child with special needs comes with its own story.

Join us for Sibshops, a fun and supportive program for brothers and sisters (ages 8–12) of children with special needs who receive care at Valley.

📅 Saturday, February 7
⏰ 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
📍 140 East Ridgewood Ave., Paramus

Kids will meet other sibs, play games, laugh, and talk with peers who truly “get it”- guided by a pediatric social worker and certified child life specialist.

This program is free, but space is limited.

Valley’s Center for Comprehensive Heart Failure Care enjoyed a holiday party featuring a special performance from patient, Nina Little. To thank the team for the care they provided, Nina surprised her care team with a special harp performance. Robert Decker, patient of the center, also joined the fun and thanked the team for the support they have provided.

Valley’s Heart Failure Center team provides a Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) Therapy program, offering an advanced treatment option for patients suffering from congestive heart failure. LVAD is a mechanical heart pump implanted for a subset of patients diagnosed with heart failure. An LVAD pumps blood from your left ventricle to the rest of your body when your heart is not able to.

“We adopted our baby, and Heather was one of the nurses who loved on him for the first three days of his life prior to us getting there. He was never alone; she was there, and we’re forever grateful she gave him such wonderful care and love and comfort and help.

“She made us feel so welcome and helped us when we first met our baby. She showed us how to do certain things for a newborn baby and she had a great big smile on her face filled with joy.

“We love her very much. She will always be part of our family’s story. The most important thing was that she gave love, and our baby was never alone. God placed Heather there for our family for the beginning of our story and we are forever grateful.”

Valley Health System is honored to be recognized for our ongoing partnership with the Paramus Fire Department and for supporting the revitalization of Firemen’s Memorial Park. Created in 1969 to honor fallen firefighters, the park has been updated to include four new memorial stones, relocated existing stones, improved lighting, an expanded patio, and enhanced landscaping - ensuring this meaningful space continues to honor those who served. The Paramus Fire Department is a volunteer organization responding to more than 1,300 calls each year, and Valley is proud to support their dedication to our community.
