We're excited to share that Executive Senior Vice President of Integration and Access to Care Lisa Centeno, MA, LCADC, CCS will be a panelist on NJ New Jersey Reentry Corporation's Annual Reentry Conference "Trauma" on April 2, 2026.

It's free to attend! To secure your spot, please visit: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/njrc-2026-annual-reentry-conference-trauma-tickets-1978413737747?aff=oddtdtcreator

When Governor Christie founded NJRC in 2014, the opioid crisis was already ravaging our communities. As a former U.S. Attorney, he understood the direct link between addiction and incarceration.

Nationally, 65% of US court-involved persons meet the criteria for substance abuse disorder; an additonal 20% were under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of their offense.

From the outset, NJRC has recognized that reentry requires clinically recommended behavioral treatment, trauma-informed care, and critical wraparound support as people return home. This panel reflects a cornerstone of our mission: when trauma is addressed, healing becomes possible.

Join us on April 2 for our Annual Reentry Conference.

Recovery starts sooner with the right support.

Senior Director of Clinical Services, Gabriella Urato, LCSW, alongside Executive Senior Vice President of Integration and Access to Care, Lisa Centeno, MA, LCADC, CCS, were featured in a recent NJ.com article, “Recovery starts sooner with support: Why early mental health or addiction intervention matters.”

In the article, Gabriella discusses treatment options, how access to care can be convenient, and what to expect when coming to Care Plus NJ for support.

She also emphasizes the importance of our walk-in center process:

“The whole thought process behind the walk-in center is that when someone's ready, so are we,” Urato said. “Somebody can call us or fill out an inquiry request form on our website to find out what services we offer, and what our process is to get started. Someone can also just decide that morning that they need help for their child, themselves or a family member, and they can come right into any of our walk-in centers and get help right away.”

When someone is ready for help, so are we.

Behavioral health challenges are common among teenagers, accounting for 16% of disease and injury in young people ages 10–19. Many concerns begin around age 14, yet too many teens struggle in silence without a diagnosis or treatment.

At CarePlus NJ, we want teens and their families to know that it’s okay to not be okay. Support is always within reach.

Through our Children & Family Services, we offer programs tailored to the unique needs of adolescents, including:

School-based therapy
Individual and family counseling
Specialized trauma-focused services
Social and emotional skills development

These services equip teens with the tools they need to navigate challenges, build resilience, and prioritize their well-being.

If you or someone you know needs support, visit: https://careplusnj.org/children-family-services/ or call 201-986-5000.
