Participants will gain a deeper understanding of Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs), including their types, symptoms, and impact on individuals and families. The presentation will also explore the historical and ongoing effects of implicit bias and inequitable healthcare practices on marginalized communities, particularly Black and Hispanic women and birthing people during the perinatal period.
