The scale is moving—but what are you actually losing?

If you’re on a GLP-1, weight loss alone doesn’t tell the full story.

That’s why we use the InBody medical-grade scan—to see your fat vs. muscle vs. water, not just a number on the scale. Here’s the deal: research shows that losing muscle isn’t just about strength—it can impact longevity. Muscle = metabolism. Muscle = energy. Muscle = resilience.

If you’re on a GLP-1, protecting muscle is non-negotiable.
✔️ Prioritize protein
✔️ Lift weights
✔️ Track body composition—not just weight

ADHD is not a discipline problem.

Omega-3 fatty acids are a key part of how the ADHD brain communicates, regulates mood, and stays focused. Research shows that many children and adults with ADHD have lower levels of these fats, and that matters more than most people realize.

The brain is made largely of fat. When it does not get the right kind, attention, behavior, memory, and emotional control can suffer.

Nutrition is not a cure. But it is a powerful support.

If you are supporting a child or yourself with ADHD, omega-3s are a smart place to start the conversation.

Are you really done with your marriage… or are your hormones running the show?

Here is the hard truth most women are never told. Perimenopause and menopause do not just affect your body. They affect your mood, your patience, your sleep, and how you react to the people you love most.

If communication was already strained, hormone chaos can turn small issues into constant conflict. Not because you are broken. But because you are depleted.

Before you make life-changing decisions, ask this question.
What if feeling better changes everything?

Can HRT reduce belly fat? Yes. But not the way most people think.

Research shows hormone therapy is linked to less abdominal fat and a smaller waist in postmenopausal women. On average, that reduction is about 6 to 7 percent.

But here’s the part often left out. HRT is not a weight loss treatment. It does not treat obesity. And it usually does not change the number on the scale.

What it can do is help limit menopause-related fat shifts, especially the increase in belly fat that many women notice during this stage of life.

If you’ve ever been told “you’re fine” when you know you’re not… read this.

Too many women are dismissed in medical visits. Told they’re too young. Told it can’t be perimenopause or menopause. Told to just deal with it. That’s not the truth.

Here’s the truth. You know your body best.

Feeling frustrated or shut down is a sign, not a failure. It’s a sign you need a provider who listens. One who gives you time. One who takes your symptoms seriously.

Getting a second opinion isn’t dramatic. It’s smart. And if you feel dismissed or misled, it’s okay to move on.

You deserve to be heard.
You deserve answers.
And you deserve care that respects you.

Trust yourself.

What if a fibroid diagnosis could help protect your heart?

New research suggests uterine fibroids may be an early marker of cardiovascular risk — long before symptoms appear. The connection may lie in inflammation, vascular changes, and systemic effects that extend beyond the uterus.

This research gives us an opportunity: earlier screening, better prevention, and more personalized care for women. Knowledge is power — especially when it comes to your heart.

Confused about estrogen options? You have more choices than you think.

There isn’t just one option. And there shouldn’t be.

Systemic estrogen can look different depending on your body and your life.
Some women do well with a patch worn on the lower abdomen, changed once or twice a week.
Others prefer a daily gel or spray applied to the inner thigh.
There’s also an oral estradiol tablet taken once a day.

Different forms. Same purpose.
Support your whole body in a way that fits you.

Stop getting your menopause advice from strangers on the internet.

One of the most common questions I hear is, How do I know what information I can trust? Social media and the news are full of opinions, and it can leave you confused and second-guessing your health.

Start here. Ask a qualified medical professional. And yes, that word matters. If you are asking about hormone therapy, your doctor should be trained, comfortable, and experienced with prescribing it. If they hesitate or say no without discussion, they are not the right person for detailed guidance.

You also have the right to ask questions. What is your experience? What studies support the risks and benefits? Medicine should be a conversation, not a dead end.

And do your own homework from trusted sources. Medical society websites like menopause.org offer patient-friendly, evidence-based information you can bring to your appointment so you can advocate for yourself with confidence.

You deserve clear answers. You deserve support. And you deserve care that is rooted in science, not noise.

If your pharmacy just told you your estradiol prescription is out of stock or on backorder, you are not imagining it — we’re seeing a nationwide supply issue with certain forms of estrogen.

But don’t panic… you have options, and you should never go without your hormone therapy.

Here’s what you can do:

✨ 1. Ask for an alternative delivery method
Not all estrogen is affected. If your patch is unavailable, we can often switch you to:
• Estradiol gel
• Estradiol spray (Evamist)
• Systemic vaginal estrogen (Femring)
• Oral estradiol tablets

✨ 2. Call a different pharmacy
Some pharmacies receive different shipments. CVS may be out, but a local independent pharmacy or another chain may still have supply.

✨ 3. Request a temporary substitution
If your preferred dose or brand is out, we can prescribe a clinically equivalent alternative until inventory is restored.

✨ 4. Communicate with your provider
We can often send in a new prescription within minutes once you tell us your pharmacy is out.

💛 Menopause care should never be disrupted because of a supply issue.
You deserve stability, symptom control, and evidence-based options — and there are plenty of safe alternatives.

If you’re over 40 and dealing with dryness or constant UTIs… this might be why.

Most women are never told there are two types of estrogen therapy — and one of them works locally, exactly where symptoms start.

Vaginal estrogen (cream or tablet) is applied daily for two weeks, then just twice a week for maintenance. With consistent use, many women notice improvements in as little as four weeks — including less dryness, fewer urinary symptoms and infections, and healthier, more elastic tissue.
