When we think of spring, we picture fresh starts, longer days, blooming flowers, and warmer weather. For many, this season brings energy, optimism, and a renewed sense of purpose. But for others, spring can trigger a surprising shift in mood, including increased anxiety, irritability, restlessness, or even depression. Our friends from Relief Mental Health explain more about how seasonal shifts can occur around this time of year, and what one can do to check up on their mental health in the springtime. https://reliefmh.com/blog/springtime-mental-health-check-why-symptoms-shift-with-the-seasons/

We have another CEU presentation scheduled on Friday, March 20th, and it's hosted by the wonderful Caren Jeskey! In this presentation, we will explore what's going on inside of us while practicing as therapists. We will learn ways to stay focused and grounded while taking in the stories that we hear. We will learn to mitigate the possibility of invalidating others due to our own internal activation, and learn to increase our ability to remain impartial even when attached to outcomes and invested in others' well-being. We will learn to accept others and ourselves as we truly are and model wisdom and self-regulation during our time with clients, which will reinforce our own power, authenticity, and efficacy as catalysts for growth. https://ceu.thejunipercenter.com/courses/using-metaphors-for-mindfulness

March is National Nutrition Month—a perfect reminder that caring for your mental health includes nourishing your body. Your brain works around the clock, and the food you eat plays a vital role in supporting mood, focus, and overall well-being. Healthy Adams County shares more about how balanced nutrition can positively impact mental health. https://www.healthyadamscounty.org/blog/eating-for-your-mental-health/

As a society, we’re typically told that we should eat better to keep our bodies healthy. That we should stay at a healthy weight. This prompts most of us to focus on how our bodies look. We want to look good, right? What about FEELING good? What about feeling less stressed and happier more often?

With spring being upon us in a few weeks, many people feel lighter, more motivated, and more open to activity, whether that means taking a walk, enjoying a picnic, or simply pausing to appreciate the fresh air. Spring can feel like a “reawakening.” In our latest blog post, we spoke to some of the Juniper Center clinicians to see what they think of the springtime being a mental reawakening for some individuals.

The warmth of the sun, blooming flowers, and the sound of birds returning—these familiar signs signal that spring has arrived. Along with the change in
