**BIG NEWS**
Empower Counseling will be transitioning to 100% TeleTherapy starting in August!! This will allow for greater flexibility for counselor and client, the ability to participate in therapy from the comfort of your own home, and avoid traffic traveling to and from an office! This will also allow me to reach a greater population range as people from all over the state will have access to online counseling! This brings me to my next BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!

My primary location will be moving from Parker, CO to Olympia, WA! We will be making the move at the beginning of August, which coincides with our transition to 100% online therapy. This means I will soon be able to provide counseling services to residents of WA!

What does this mean for clients in CO?
- This does not change my ability to provide quality therapy services to you even though I will be located in a different state. CO law allows for me to continue working with clients who are physically located in CO as long as my license remains active. So the only change CO clients will experience is I will no longer be able to provide in-person services.

Can WA clients meet in person?
- At this time, the plan is to provide services completely online through secure, HIPAA compliant video platforms for all clients, even those located in WA. Therefore, no in-person sessions will be offered. As a Certified TeleMental Health Provider, I can assure you that most clients are able to receive the same quality of care via online sessions as they are in person. If it is determined that online sessions are not beneficial for you, then we will work together to find a therapist that can provide in-person sessions for you.

I am very excited for this new change and the opportunity for growth it brings for Empower Counseling!! Telehealth has become a mainstay in various health care settings due to COVID-19. This has allowed providers to reach clients they may have never been able to reach in the past. But many providers are not educated on the many ins-and-outs of providing care through telehealth. It's important that clients receive the best care, not just the most convenient. That is why I have become a Certified Clinical Telemental Health Provider (CTMH), to ensure that my clients can be confident that they are receiving the best care even when meeting online.

As experts continue to find solutions for COVID-19, we are continuing to do our part to provide mental health services to those seeking help. These are trying times for most, if not all, of us. At this time, we are providing individual and couples counseling online through secure video platforms. If this mode of therapy is not suitable for you, possibly due to lack of privacy at home or lack of access to stable internet, we are offering in-person sessions on a case-by-case basis. Please feel free to reach out if you are interested in meeting in-person or if you have any other questions. Rest assured, we are following all safety guidelines to make sure the office space is clean for each visitor.
