Language grows best through play, not pressure 🧸

Here are 3 play based tips you can use every day to support your child’s language growth 💬

Talk about what you see during play 👀
Get down on their level and describe what they are doing. “Car go.” “Baby sleep.” Simple words are powerful and easier for little ones to understand and copy.

Pause and wait ⏸️
After you model a word or phrase, give your child time to respond. That quiet pause can feel long, but it gives their brain space to process and try communicating in their own way.

Say it again 🔁
When your child says a word or phrase, repeat it back clearly and naturally. Hearing their words again helps reinforce meaning and builds confidence to keep trying.

No flashcards. No drills. Just everyday play, connection and language that grows over time 💕🎈

My name is Stacey Howard and I’m so happy to be a part of the KIDnection team! I am a native Floridian, a wife, a mom of two daughters, a 20 year art teacher and the owner of a portrait and volume photography business. I have had the privilege of teaching art to children of all ages in the public school sector, online classes, and summer programs at various art museums.

My teaching philosophy is to convey knowledge of the arts in a fun and engaging way while allowing children to freely explore a variety of mediums and express their own creativity. My mission is to bring optimism, hope, unity, and confidence to children through the arts. I look forward to being a part of this wonderful community.

Calling all toddlers who love to move. This one is for you!

Sunday mornings at 10 am and Fridays at 9:30 am are all about sports, movement and big fun. Little Athletes gives toddlers a chance to run, kick, throw, and climb while building confidence, coordination, and listening skills. And it gives you a built in way to spend intentional one on one time with your child.

No pressure. No experience needed (walking required). Just show up and play.
