Fitness Quest, a leader in outpatient physical therapy, is seeking a Medical Receptionist/ Front Desk Coordinator at our Ellenton, FL and downtown Sarasota FL location. This is a full-time, full-benefit opportunity.

Duties for the position include:
Patient check-in/checkout process, includes tasks such as greeting patients with a smile; collecting, entering, and verifying insurance coverage and benefits; entering confidential patient demographics and health information; and, collecting deductibles, copayments, balances, and/or any funds due to the practice.

Obtain changes in insurance and provide documentation and consistent communication to the billing department.

Obtain referrals and authorizations as required for rendering services.

Educate patients on insurance benefits and their financial responsibility effectively.

Answer phones, route calls, take messages, and communicate to the team/provider in a prompt, courteous and professional manner.

Schedule/reschedule/cancel patient appointments. Maintain appointment records.

Recordkeeping, file paper charts, scan forms into the EMR.

Various office duties such as copying, faxing, maintain/clean patient waiting areas and front desk area.

Protect patient rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information by adhering to all HIPAA regulations.

Required Qualifications:

· A high school diploma or equivalent

· Ability to successfully pass a Level II background check

Successful candidates for this position will have the following preferred skills:

· Experience (preferably 1-3 years) providing administrative support to a busy medical office

· Experience (preferably 1-3 years) verifying/authorizing insurance and record keeping

· The ability to demonstrate their exceptional computer skills (Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, and EMR/EHR systems a plus.)

· The ability to demonstrate their competency using a multi-line phone system, process credit card payments, utilize online banking and insurance websites, and efficiently schedule patients.

Please join us in welcoming Richard Brunsting, DPT as the Director of our Lakewood Ranch location. Richard Brunsting grew up in Nashville, Tennessee before moving to Cleveland, Ohio where he earned a Bachelors of Science in Nutrition with a minor in Sports Medicine in 2013. After he completed that program he moved to Philadelphia, PA where he attended Widener University. He earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy there as well as served as the President for the class of 2018. During his time as a student physical therapist, Richard spent 12 weeks working with the Philadelphia Phillies during Spring Training. In addition to RIchard’s passion for physical therapy, he is also a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and FRC mobility specialist. He utilizes these certifications at a gym in South Sarasota where he is able to combine his rehabilitation knowledge with his Olympic weightlifting and mobility knowledge to help his clients achieve their goals. In August of 2018, Richard joined the Fitness Quest family starting at our Englewood location. He has had the pleasure of working with professional baseball players from the Tampa Bay Rays, Atlanta Braves and Minnesota Twins. Richard has a passion for combining his variety of rehabilitation and weightlifting knowledge along with his experience as a fitness coach to give all of his patients the best quality of care on their journey to an improved quality of life.

Please join us in welcoming Adam Murrell, DPT to the Fitness Quest Physical Therapy team. Adam will be the Director at our North Port location. Adam obtained his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and minor in Psychology in 2010 at the University of North Texas. He earned his Doctoral degree for Physical Therapy in 2014 at Texas Woman’s University in Dallas, TX. Adam has worked in both the outpatient orthopedic and home health settings while in Texas. He is certified to perform Dry Needling and is a certified instructor in Tai Chi for Balance and Osteoarthritis. Adam has experience working with high school/college athletes as well as the adult and geriatric populations. He specializes in orthopedic and vestibular rehabilitation. His treatment philosophy is to utilize an evidence-based approach to create an individualized treatment plan to achieve patient’s goals and optimize function.
