Where do I even begin? How do I speak about the most incredible man who walked this earth — the man who gave me a life no daughter could ever dream of without him? If you knew my dad, you knew you were in the presence of excellence.
Three years ago, he took a hard fall that changed his life. And this weekend, it happened again — but this time, his body and soul were tired. In the hospital, he and I shared some of the most beautiful moments of my life. I witnessed my father being called by angels. His eyes opened wide, he looked at me, and he smiled. He told me he was very tired and all he wanted was to sleep. I told him that if sleep was what he wanted, it was okay.
For 100 years, he accomplished so much — coming to the United States, surviving the craziness of life, and still giving Mom and me an amazing life. He carried that same love and strength to Corinne and Briana, helping raise them when they were young. Everyone who met him loved him, because they knew they had been touched by an angel.
Dad, you are my best friend. You are the perfect example of what a man should be — your kindness, your soul, your laugh, your jokes. No one I will ever meet could be even a fraction of who you are or what you gave to me, Mom, and the girls.
It is your time now — to rest, to fly, to be reunited with your siblings and all those who went before you. I love you more than my own life, and that will never change. I will hold your ring close to my heart and cherish everything we ever did together. I would not be who I am today without your love.
I will never say goodbye. I will say “see you,” every day — in my steps, in my dreams, in my very existence.
Enjoy heaven, Dad. God has been waiting for you — and now He finally has His superior angel back home.

No flowers please. He was a simple man and celebrating his life is a gift in itself.
