2026 DOT Random
Testing Rates.

The U.S. Department of Transportation has announced the minimum annual random drug and alcohol testing rates for its agencies in 2026.
It is essential for compliance program managers to review their random testing pools to ensure alignment with these requirements.

Key Update for 2026:
The Federal Railroad Administration Mechanical random alcohol testing rate will increase to 10 percent, while all other DOT agencies will maintain the 2025 rates. Organizations overseeing DOT-regulated employees or managing safety-sensitive workforces should disseminate this information to their teams to maintain compliance with federal testing requirements.

Today, I'm reflecting on the work we do and the meaningful impact our company makes in the drug and alcohol testing industry. What began as a commitment to workplace safety has evolved into trusted partnerships with employers and individuals who depend on us daily.

Our work spans conducting drug and alcohol testing to helping organizations develop and manage comprehensive testing programs. I'm proud that our efforts contribute to safer workplaces, accident prevention, workers' compensation support, and securing critical state and federal funding, all while protecting employee well-being.

What grounds me most is the human element of this work: remembering there's a person on the other side of every test. Whether it's someone navigating probation testing, an employee working to stay healthy and employed, or an individual striving for positive change, being a reliable and compassionate resource is a responsibility I deeply value.

Thank you to everyone who entrusts us with these important responsibilities. I'm proud of our integrity, our impact, and our unwavering commitment to safety, support, and service.
