Let me explain.
Almost 4 yrs ago, shortly after he turned 29, my Air Force son Forrest took his own life. I still cry at least once a day, Everyday.
My memorial day is usually spent visiting the National Cemetary in Knoxville, Forrest's final resting place. It's a sad day for me.
This year I decided to instead honor his memory in another way.
My Memorial day sale isn't about making money, flashing lights and balloons. It's about giving back. If my little 20% off helps in any way, then it's a win win.
I decided I want to make this a yearly event and already having the concrete garden momentos sealed the deal for me.
If coming and painting a representation of the honor felt for a lost Military family member helps even 1 person on their journey through grief, then its a win win. To be able to have a place of honor in your garden for your loved one allows you a sacred safe space to sit, grieve, remember them and honor their memory.
That's what my Memorial Day Plant Sale is really about.
