"I want to be honest with you all..2020 has been a tough time for me since having my asthma attack in December 2019 which I believe was due to corona (which btw wasn’t known at the time)
😷
I have been left anxious/unfamiliar/lonely and at times in a dark place. I feel today’s society does not understand the severity of people with asthma due to it being around for decades.
😢
However, like myself, if you have acute asthma and triggers from becoming poorly/allergies it is the most unnatural and surreal thing to happen to you.
I was hospitalized when I was 4 years old and I have managed my asthma my whole life up until now in December 2019 when I woke up early hours in the morning from sleeping not being able to breathe.
My nose was swollen and my chest was so tight and wheezy I felt like I was gasping for thin air and sucking through a straw luckily I always carry with me my blue asthma pump which bought me a bit of time before being rushed to hospital.
I was not diagnosed with anything and was put on a ventilator for an hour to help me which led me to be dismissed & referred to GP who gave me antibiotics and steroids. This is something that has left me scarred, paranoid & anxious at the fact it could potentially happen again.
Yesterday I tried to get a flu jab.. a flu jab to try to prevent this from happening again to be told I am not eligible enough and there are shortages across the whole of the UK!
Luckily for me, I had my guardian angel somewhere looking over me when my hubby to be made a phone call to a local pharmacist to try and help me get a flu jab to be told that he was going to kindly offer me his flu jab that he had put aside for himself.
I mean if that isnt luck I don’t know what is! He doesnt know it yet but I will be walking into the pharmacy today with a coffee in my hand and thanking him for potentially saving my life in the next coming months mentally and physically.
Its so refreshing to know that there are kind and selfless people still in this world. So thankyou! Please always remember to be kind and help one another in these dark times 🌍❤️❤️"
