A three-hour tour…..… or so we thought. Routine neighborhood patrols for Halloween, turned into a 6-hour challenge thanks to 60+ mph winds downing trees, poles, and wires across the town……thanks Gilligan!

A very busy week with 3 search missions. This week, Pipeline Safety training seminar, Monthly meeting on ICS and Staging, weekly Food POD, Trunk N Treat, and finishing with a Breast Cancer 5K with 3500 folks.

Night time drone search assisting Police, with CERT and RACES volunteers. Then again 4 days later, a day time search with drone and mobile units. Busy times.

Scenes from our Fall Festival, with 5,000 attendees. CERT and RACES tents handing out preparedness literature and novelties. The inaugural debut of our new (okay used) Mobile Command Center. We’ll get a lot of use out of it. The team managed Comms, Site Blocking, Tents, and patrols.

Please join Mayor James R. Barberio and the Parsippany Interfaith Council on Thursday, September 11, 2025 for a solemn remembrance ceremony for victims of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. We will observe the 24th anniversary at the 9/11 memorial monument site in front of the Parsippany - Troy Hills Municipal Building, 1001 Parsippany Blvd., at 8:40 a.m.

Residents are invited to join Township officials and clergy in remembering those who perished that day. We especially remember our community members lost on that day: Martin Boryczewski, Antoinette Duger, Jason Kyle Jacobs, Michael Pescherine, Thomas H. Polhemus, Maria Theresa Santillan, and Michael C. Sorresse.

Another busy week in Parsippany CERT world with 2 Movie nights, a concert night and the annual school supplies and backpack distribution at County College. 1300 backpacks this year.
