Joanne Koegl, Marriage, Family Therapist

Joanne Koegl, Marriage, Family Therapist Joanne Koegl, LMT is a Southern California based licensed psychotherapist specializing in couples and relational therapy

As a Marriage and Family Therapist for over 20 years, I help individuals and couples navigate life’s challenges with compassion, clarity, and practical tools.

✨ My work often focuses on:
✔️ Couples wanting to rebuild connection and trust
✔️ Individuals struggling with anxiety, grief, or self-doubt
✔️ Professionals navigating high-pressure careers and relationships
✔️ Those healing from past wounds and creating healthier patterns

In our sessions, I use a mix of evidence-based approaches—including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Method, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Emotional Freedom Techniques (Tapping)—tailored to your unique story. I believe therapy isn’t about “fixing” you. It’s about helping you understand yourself, heal where needed, and create the life and relationships you deeply want.

Today October 24 would’ve been my 33rd wedding anniversary. We were married nine years before Mike died. This is a sad day for me but also a huge day of gratitude with beautiful memories. Although our time together ended far too soon, our love endures and I would not be the person I am today without you in my life. As the song says I am so grateful for the dance we had and would do it again. My beautiful Violet must have known something because she hugged me three times and also gave me my first kiss from her. I’m smiling thinking about her and the joy she brings. Happy Anniversary wherever you are ❤️
