Astoria Park Senior Living offers Assisted Living and Memory Care services in Pasadena, CA. Our community provides residents with personalized care plans, delicious dining options, and a variety of social and recreational life-enriching activities to enjoy. Our wellness programs focus on physical, emotional, and spiritual health to help seniors live their best lives. We accept Medi-Cal and ALW waivers to ensure that everyone has access to our exceptional care and services. Our community is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and our leasing office is open from 8 a.m. We also offer after-hours tours by appointment.

David grew up in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and for almost 4 years, he’s been part of the heart of Astoria Park Senior Living. When he’s not at work, he enjoys going to the gym, watching movies, and spending time with friends — a balance that keeps his energy and spirit strong for our residents.

What David loves most about working with seniors is knowing he’s truly helping and making residents happy. That simple, genuine motivation shows in the way he cares for each person he serves.

His philosophy in life says it all: “Enjoy whatever is in front of you.” We are incredibly grateful for David. His kindness, reliability, and warm presence make Astoria Park feel more like home — for our residents, their families, and our team.

If you thought “senior living food” meant bland and boring… Chef Angel at Astoria Park Senior Living would like to disagree. Strongly.

From chef-crafted entrées to beautifully plated veggies and pastas, every dish coming out of Angel’s kitchen is designed to look like a night out, but feel like home. Fresh ingredients, real flavor, and residents who know they’re being spoiled a little at every meal.

Resident Spotlight: Patricia
We’re excited to introduce Patricia, lovingly known as Pat, in this month’s spotlight. Pat grew up in Rochester NY, moved to Sarasota FL, then moved to La Crescenta CA. She is a proud mother to two wonderful children, and a doting grandmother to her five grandchildren.

Pat attended Olympia High School, majored in business in Rochester, and went to Ringling College of Art for 3 years. In her leisure time, Pat enjoys reading, watercolor art, participating in community activities, and going on outings. Her friendly, outgoing personality makes her a beloved member of Astoria Park.

Our New StARTs art program is officially onto its second community painting, and this masterpiece is almost complete! Mark, Ramon, and Esther have poured time, heart, and personality into this canvas — proof that creativity doesn’t have an age limit. From brushstrokes to laughter and stories shared around the table, this project has been all about connection, confidence, and trying something new together. At Astoria Park Senior Living, we take great pride in our amazing team, who bring warmth, kindness, and dedication to our residents every day. This month, we're excited to spotlight Sammie, a truly compassionate employee who has quickly become a beloved member of our community. Sammie grew up in Pasadena, CA, and when she's not working, she loves to go to concerts, spend time with her family, bowling, watch sports and movies. Her passion for being a driver for our community shines through in the simple joys of spending time with our residents and offering a helping hand whenever it's needed.
