The feelings will come whether you want them or not. The key is to acknowledge them without judgement, and take care of yourself as they work their way through your body.

Self-regulation is not something most of us are taught - especially with those extra powerful and overwhelming feelings - but it can certainly be learned. And it's a vital tool.
