As we get ready to welcome 2026, THANK YOU to everyone who made a donation to Rose City in 2025. Our mission to provide training to predoctoral and postdoctoral psychology students, and offering accessible high-quality psychoanalytic therapy throughout California is made possible by people like YOU.

Your generosity directly supports Rose City Center’s in-person and online Clinic, the Life Emergency Assistance Fund (LEAF) and Fire Relief (Re-LEAF) Programs for clients, the Clinical Training Program for predoctoral and postdoctoral psychology students, and our Continuing Education Program.

If you have not had a chance to make a donation, there is still time to make a 2025 online donation! Please specify “LEAF” or “Re-LEAF” in the “Write us a comment” box if you would like your donation to be directed to either of those programs for Rose City clients.

As we inch closer to the start of the new year, so many of us feel the pressure to go into it having solved all of our problems from 2025. With the new year, everything will change. Everything will be better. And when things don't immediately change, we often feel overwhelmed.

But no one can change everything overnight.

What we can do is breathe. And focus on one thing, as needed.

The holidays can be so challenging for so many of us. And it's easy to feel that any setbacks we experience during the holidays means we haven't healed as much as we thought, or that the healing won't continue.

Reminding ourselves that healing isn't linear is so important to the journey, and to finding the strength to continue on that journey.
