Recently we had the honor of transferring two of our ladies from the North Carolina Crisis Center to our New Jersey campus. We are so proud of the steps they’ve taken and so excited to see what God is going to do in this next chapter of their journey.

Hudson Estuary Program staff recently joined Hoving Home residents on the Philipse Brook in Philipstown, NY, to explore and learn about the aquatic life living in the stream through forest bathing, watercolor painting, and kick-net sampling, in which participants were able to interact with their macroinvertebrate (water bug) and fish neighbors. The education event is part of a larger effort to improve stream habitat for fish—such as the American eel—by removing an aging and failing dam, as well as other structures in the stream.
