🌳🫶 Meet Lily
In January 2025, when the Eaton Wildfire swept through Altadena, Lily and her grandchildren, Eli and Nina, faced a home filled with smoke and uncertainty. Their safe space was disrupted, and the emotional toll was heavy.
With support from the Pasadena Community Foundation and the team at Foothill Family, Lily received help restoring their home and accessing mental health resources. Together, they took steps toward healing and rebuilding a sense of normalcy.

“You helped us when we needed it most. You brought us peace after weeks of fear,” Lily shared — a reminder of the resilience families show every day.

We are thrilled to highlight three of the four recipients of Foothill Family’s Jeanne & Mike Beckman Educational Scholarship! This scholarship supports deserving students in pursuing higher education, awarding up to $2,000 to help them achieve their academic dreams.

As Jeanne Beckman shared: “We are enormously proud of all the scholarship recipients, and the hard work they’ve done to earn their scholarships. We are confident they will complete their education and move forward to promising futures. Each young woman is an inspiration. Our hearty congratulations to them all!” 💚
