Greetings all. According to the MDH, we are at “HIGH” status for flu virus. This means that more than 30% of those with symptoms are testing positive for flu virus. Employees, if you feel sick or have been around anyone who has been sick, please wear a mask. Visitors, if you plan to come to Peartree and are not feeling 100%, please wear a mask. Masks will be provided for you if you do not have one already. Thank you!

Our residents, staff, and guests brought the laughter and the holiday spirit to our Christmas party and reminded us that joy has no age limit! So grateful for this wonderful community!

We are aware of a recent review shared about Peartree House Assisted Living, and we want to take a moment to speak directly to our families, friends, and community. Please know that in this specific instance, there were restrictions that we as a business did put into place to protect our staff, our other residents, and quite truthfully, the complainant themselves.

Caring for seniors, especially during end-of-life moments, is a privilege we hold with deep respect. We know how emotional, difficult, and sacred these times are for families, and we understand that experiences can feel especially raw during periods of grief.

While we cannot discuss individual situations publicly, we want our community to know this:

We listen.
We learn.
We care deeply about the people entrusted to us.

Every concern shared, whether positive or negative, is taken seriously and reviewed thoroughly. Feedback helps us grow, strengthen communication, and continue providing compassionate, resident-centered care.

Mother Nature pulled a trick instead of a treat this year and while our Trunk or Treat may have been canceled our residents are still brewing up good cheer and spooky smiles! Rain or shine, The Peartree House keeps the Halloween spirit alive!

Spirit week at The Peartree House! Pajama day, tie-dye day, and whacky tacky day all wrapped up with an End of Summer Carnival!! Thanks to our staff and residents for helping make these fun memories!

We were blessed to be a part of the Hospice of the Chesapeake open house today where we toured their lovely campus and learned about the wonderful programs and services that they provide to those in our community dealing with heartache, loss, and grief. They help people find joy and peace during incredibly hard times and we are honored to be partnered with such a wonderfully caring organization. One of our residents even made it into their promotional materials regarding the pet therapy services thay they offer!
