Those who need therapy often have to pay out of pocket or go without care, even if they have health insurance. Hundreds of mental health providers told us they fled networks because insurers made their jobs impossible and their lives miserable.

We are thrilled to announce a significant update regarding the upcoming International DIR® Conference at the Javits Center in NYC! As part of our commitment to fostering an inclusive and enriching experience for all, we have decided to make registration FREE for all attendees.

Why the change? Our primary goal has always been to bring together a diverse community of passionate individuals, and by removing registration fees, we aim to break down any barriers to participation. Whether you’re a professional, parent, or self-advocate who is already active in the DIR community or you are new to DIR, we welcome you with open arms.

Because ICDL has to commit funds to support every registrant, we are simply asking that new registrants pay a $100 deposit that will be available for refund once you attend the conference. The $100 deposit will hold your seat and once you arrive, the seat will be yours for free and you will be eligible for a refund of your deposit.*

We want to express our sincere gratitude to the nearly 300 who have already registered and paid for their registration at the conference. Your commitment to advancing knowledge and expertise in the field is truly appreciated. Rest assured, refunds will be available for you as well once you attend the conference.* Now you are going for free and you can grab a friend and have them join you for free too!

We understand that this change may come as a surprise, but please know that it is driven by our mission as a not-for-profit and our commitment to the worldwide DIR® community. The quality of the conference remains unchanged, and we are dedicated to delivering an exceptional experience for all attendees.

Clients with complex trauma histories often bring multiple family members to receive different types of therapeutic services at Greenhouse. They need help affording the costs. 32.5 years ago, we began helping these clients with the costs of their healing journey. Now we are inviting the community to partner with us.
