ā€œCan you show me what my nose will look like after surgery?ā€ Is one of the most common questions I hear during rhinoplasty consultations.

While digital imaging can be helpful, it’s important to understand its purpose. I don’t use imaging as a promise of an exact outcome; it’s a tool to visualize goals, not a guarantee. We may review a profile simulation, since that’s the view that translates most accurately, but even then, results depend on anatomy and healing.

Watch as I explain how I use imaging thoughtfully and why experience and surgical judgment matter more than any computer model. If you’re curious about what’s realistic for your nose, schedule a consultation at the link below.

Nasal width involving the bridge, tip, and nostrils requires a comprehensive and nuanced approach.

In this case, a preservation rhinoplasty was performed using a closed technique, allowing me to narrow the nasal bones while preserving the underlying nasal structure.

I refined and rotated the tip upward to achieve a softer, more feminine profile. Because of significant nostril flare, an alar wedge resection was necessary to properly balance the nasal base. These incisions are carefully hidden within the natural junction of the nostril and cheek, where they tend to heal extremely well.

At one year post-op, her results are stable, natural, and beautifully healed. Attention to detail at every step is what allows results like this to stand the test of time.

Meet Trey! Many of you have been asking how he’s doing since his story aired on ’s , and I’m thrilled to share that he’s doing amazingly well and has gained the confidence he truly deserves.

Shown here about 4 months post-surgery, Trey is thriving! While he still has a bit of a journey ahead, working on symmetry and possibly removing more of the tumor, the hardest part is behind him. A small brow lift and some minor ear repositioning may be next steps.

For those who haven’t seen his story, you can stream ā€œAbout Faceā€ at go.tlc.com. Trey has , a genetic condition that can cause nerve tumors, and he faced a large plexiform neurofibroma on his face and scalp.

His courage and progress are truly inspiring!
