🌱✨ Embracing the Yin/Yang Dynamic of the Year of the Snake and the Year of the Horse ✨🌱

As we enter the last quarter of the Year of the Snake, I find myself reflecting on the harmonious balance this zodiac cycle brings. The journey of the Snake symbolizes surrender and transformation, especially for those navigating the challenges of fertility and health. 🐍💖

A powerful metaphor in this journey is the act of the Snake shedding its skin. This process represents letting go of old patterns and embracing authenticity, allowing us to uncover our true selves. In holistic health, this signifies that our skin-deep beauty is a reflection of our inner well-being, reminding us to care for ourselves as a whole.

In contrast, the upcoming Year of the Horse bursts with vibrant energy and enthusiasm. This spirited vitality embodies a dynamic shift, much like the stages of a baby’s development. The interplay of the Snake’s introspection and the Horse’s exuberance creates a beautiful yin/yang synergy. Each stage of a baby’s growth—filled with new milestones—mirrors the Horse’s playful and fiery essence, encouraging us to engage with life fully while maintaining the reflective qualities of the Snake.

Navigating our health journeys requires embracing the fluidity of this duality. Just as the Snake prepares us for transformation, the energy of the Horse inspires us to take bold steps forward. Together, they guide us to trust in the process, find joy in life’s uncertainties, and cultivate resilience through both struggles and triumphs. 🌼

As we welcome the energy of the Fire Horse, let us celebrate this transformative journey. May we embrace our holistic health and authenticity, nurturing the fertile ground for new beginnings while honoring the balance of the Snake and the Horse.

Together, let us embark on this exciting journey! 🌟💫

Back in 2011, during our time in Chicago, this picture was taken doing one of our favorite things when we visited my family in L.A - surprising my dad at his pharmacy. Little did we know, it was just the beginning of a story still being written. My sister’s text summed it up best: “never did I think these little babes would be living here 14 years later and painting the store bathrooms for their summer job!” Remembering that life unfolds just as it is meant to is essential, especially during times that feel rocky, scary, or unclear.❤️🙏 ☮️

Sisters are like flowers in the garden of life 🌼 💕 So good to spend some time with mine in Los Olivos.

Since it's still August, Happy (Belated) National Sisters' Day!

Nothing can derail your day like a jarring, potent, chemical-laden air freshener!

Why do these disposable razor heads "for women" smell like that?

Using a natural body oil, like 's, allows for the same smooth shave and does it naturally without chemicals. Shaving can increase the absorption of harmful chemicals into your skin bc shaving takes off the outer layer of dead skin. Opt for basic razors that don't come with that all-in-one, rubbery, chemically-scented film that, when it meets water, serves as a shaving cream. And certainly avoid shaving the armpit or groin region with these razors, as those areas contain lymphatic tissue!

Our Story

Founded in 2007, Collaborative Care is a traditional Chinese medicine and natural fertility clinic in Chicago. Our focus on reproductive health and fertility is founded in a holistic approach combining acupuncture, Chinese herbs, nutritional guidance, emotional support and self-care techniques.

We support you wherever you are on your journey. As your providers, we not only address the physical reasons behind fertility challenges, but we also create the space to work through the emotional aspects of the journey, as well.

For women whose journey to a successful pregnancy has included multiple rounds of IVF, we have developed a highly effective holistic treatment regimen. We also work with women and couples trying to get pregnant naturally who want to enhance and optimize their health and fertility.

Our goal is to provide emotional and physical support to you while nurturing your reproductive health. We do this not only with Chinese medicine, nutritional guidance and acupuncture, but we provide guidance in other areas of your life in an effort to support you and your fertility!
