Woodrow is one of the most loving, kind and is a cherished member of the HIS house family. Devin often calls him the best birthday present he could have received. On April 22, 2025, Devin Bullock brought Woodrow home to HIS house after spending 33 years behind bars. Meeting Woodrow you can't imagine that incarceration was even part of his story and 33 years is unfathomable. But GOD turns all things to good for those who love him. That's one thing about Woodrow....there is no denying that he loves JESUS.

Woodrow you are such an important part of our HIS house family. I (mellissa) speak for everyone when I say, you are a blessing and gift to this world and we are looking forward to always being a part of your journey through life. We love you so much!!

Congratulations, Joe B., on 1 year clean and serene!

Joe served as the house manager at our Humble location, and it has been incredible to witness his growth throughout the program. We’ve watched a true transformation.....going from anxiety, fear, and no relationship with God, to becoming a light for others. Known now as joyful, free, and walking in purpose. You’ve become a powerful example of what a man of God looks like in action. Seeing you step forward into your new life is exactly why we do what we do and it’s the most rewarding part.
We are beyond proud of you. Keep going, keep growing. We love you always.

What an incredible night at Topgolf with our HIS house recovery family and friends. We’re blessed with an amazing group of men who genuinely ❤️ Jesus and are thriving in their recovery journeys. Being able to step away, laugh, and enjoy time together was such a gift. Life on this side of recovery is truly better......God is so, so good to us.

If you are struggling and need help, please do not hesitate, reach out. GOD bless all who are still suffering. There is hope and life just keeps getting better once you take that first step to walk out of the darkness and into the light.

It's National Recovery month and HIS house recovery would like to congratulate all those who have fought hard in their battle with addiction.

To those winning the battle I encourage you to keep trudging the road to a happy destiny. More will be revealed and life will take on new meaning.

To those we have lost along the way you will never be forgotten. You story will be told in hopes that through it one life may be saved.

And to those who are still struggling reach out. You dont have to continue in the darkness lost and alone. There are millions of us out here who have gone before you and found the willingness to change in a moment of desperation. I hope and pray you find the courage and the strength to fight for another chance at life. It is worth it and YOU are worth it.
