Impact Treatment Programs

Impact Treatment Programs Helping men and women recover from addiction issues for over 50 years. We're here when you're ready. Physically, Impact consists of several locations.
(201)

"Homebase" is a two and a half acre, beautifully landscaped facility in NW Pasadena. On the property we have accommodations for 135 residents, a beautifully maintained fitness center (thank you Massman Family), a little store, a library, an auto center for maintenance of our 30 vehicles, a conference center, a medical facility and a fully stocked building filled with clothing, shoes and hygiene products for clients. We have an outpatient/Drug Court program in East Pasadena. A Drug Court program in Los Angeles. A men's and a women's lock-up facility for men and women mandated to jail. And finally, we have three sober living buildings in Pasadena. Huge growth from the six person tract house in Sun Valley where it all begain.

Leadership isn’t just about authority.
It’s about listening. Being willing to sit in the hard conversations.

Today, Impact had the honor of meeting with Pasadena Police Chief Harris alongside Christina Gonzales, our CEO, and our Post Incarceration Services and Reentry teams. We spoke candidly about recovery, accountability, public safety, and the real challenges faced by people rebuilding their lives after addiction and incarceration.

Recovery takes courage.
So does leadership that chooses empathy over distance and collaboration over assumptions.

At Impact, our mission is rooted in helping people heal so they can return to the community healthier, safer, and more connected. Law enforcement shares that same goal. Different roles, same destination: a stronger, safer Pasadena.

We’re grateful for leaders like Chief Harris who understand that lasting change happens when systems work together and when we remember that recovery, like public service, is an act of courage.

Community grows when courage leads the way.

As 2025 comes to a close, we are reflecting with deep gratitude.

This year, Impact grew not just in size, but in purpose. This growth allowed us to meet people where they are, to reach addicts in new and more effective ways, and to expand the depth of care we provide every single day.

Through it all, our foundation has never changed. We remain guided by the principles and traditions of the 12 Steps. Those principles shape how we serve, how we lead, and how we show up for those seeking recovery.

Each moment in this collage represents lives touched, hope restored, and a belief that a new life is possible when grace and structure meet.

As we move into a new year, we do so committed to helping even more people find freedom from addiction. Thank you to our community, staff, partners, and supporters who make this work possible.

Here’s to continued freedom through structure, grounded in principles, and driven by Impact.

Christmas morning at Impact starts a little differently. Stockings placed outside each door. A simple reminder waiting for our men and women when they wake up that they are seen, cared for, and not alone.

For many of the people in treatment at Impact, the holidays can be complicated. Filled with loss, distance from family, or memories that are hard to carry. These small moments of normalcy matter. A stocking. A knock on the door. A sincere “Merry Christmas.”

This is about more than gifts. It is about showing that recovery does not have to mean isolation. That their journey forward will be filled with people who care, who show up, and who believe in their future.

From all of us at Impact, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Thank you for being a part of this journey.

Only at Impact… Merry Christmas Everyone! Santa made it… finally.

Lacing up. Showing up. Moving forward.

Our Impact caseworker and Impact Mules coach, Lorie Whitaker, knows that recovery is built one step at a time. That same mindset fuels our Dash Thru the 80s 5K, back for year two on February 22.

Whether you run, walk, or cheer from the sidelines, you’re helping move lives forward.

These are two of our 5K participants from last year's IMPACT 5K.

They are men who have spent much of their lives fighting addiction. For a long time, survival was the only goal. Today, they are choosing something different. They are choosing health. They are choosing community. They are choosing to walk a new path.

Our 5K is not about finish times or medals. There are those, but it's about more than that. It is about standing next to people who are rebuilding their lives and saying, you are not doing this alone.

When you support Impact, you are supporting access to treatment, stability, counseling, and long term recovery. You are helping someone replace chaos with routine, isolation with community, and hopelessness with possibility.

Your support turns moments like this into milestones.

If you believe in second chances, walk with us.

If you believe recovery deserves community support, give today.

If you believe people are more than their past, show up.

👉 Sign up, donate, or share this post and help us keep the path forward open.

Head over to https://runsignup.com/impactrun to become a part of that path forward.

Recovery is possible. And it happens together.

Today we had the honor of welcoming Dr. Jose Gomez, President of Pasadena City College, to Impact. Moments like this remind us that community is not just an idea. It is people learning from one another, and recognizing that our missions overlap in real and meaningful ways.

Both Impact and Pasadena City College invest in human potential. We believe in second chances. We believe in education as a pathway to stability and dignity. We believe that people can rebuild their lives when the right support is within reach.

A sincere thank you to Dr. Gomez for taking the time to visit, listen, and share space with our team. Partnerships like this strengthen the entire community and help our patients move forward with hope and opportunity.

Here is to the good work we do when we find common ground.

Our Christmas donor tree is starting to full up, but we still have a long way to go.

Every ornament represents a gift that will go directly to a child or family spending the holidays at Impact. These moments matter more than we can say. A parent in treatment gets to hand their child a present. A family feels seen. A season that could feel heavy becomes a little lighter.

If you are able, we would love your help. Every contribution becomes part of a story of hope for a family working hard to rebuild their lives.

Thank you for helping us bring some Christmas joy to our community.

This is Stephanie.

For two years Stephanie had not seen her little boy, Danny. This was first time she held him again while reunifying with him. It was the first time she felt like a mother again.

Stephanie told us something we carry with us.

“Impact gave me the ability to be a mother again. This picture means the world to me. When I look at it and see how happy he was to be in my arms it makes me realize how grateful I am to have gotten a second chance.”

Next week is Giving Tuesday. This is what giving means to us at Impact.

It is not a day about numbers. It is about families who find their way back to one another. It is about the quiet courage of people who choose recovery and rebuild their lives piece by piece.

When you support Impact you help create moments like this. You help mothers and fathers come home.

Thank you for standing with us. Thank you for helping families heal.

Today, our Impact Family gathered in the truest spirit of gratitude. We opened our doors and our hearts as families came together to share a Thanksgiving meal with their loved ones. For many, it was the very first time experiencing this moment clear minded, present, and connected.

Watching parents, children, siblings, and partners embrace, laugh, and sit together over a warm meal reminded us why this work matters so deeply. These moments of healing are not small. They are sacred. They are the beginnings of restored relationships and renewed hope.

Our staff showed up strong, as they always do. From sunrise to the last good bye, they prepared a day filled with care, dignity, and love, creating a holiday experience that some have never had before and others have not felt in many years. Their commitment to transforming lives extends far beyond treatment. It is the heart and soul of what makes Impact a home.

This Thanksgiving, we feel an overwhelming sense of Impact Gratitude. We feel hope for our residents who choose courage every day, for the families who continue to believe in them, and for our dedicated staff whose compassion brings these moments to life.

From our Impact Family to yours, we wish you a warm, hopeful, and loving filled Thanksgiving. 🧡🍁
