I love seeing perimenopause and menopause in the news! I’ve been focusing on hormones since 2012–it’s about time the media is finally catching up. 👏

But even with all of this information out there…
I still see patients every single day who feel completely lost in their own bodies.

That’s because hormone care is not one-size-fits-all!

If you’re not feeling like yourself, it’s time to look at your hormones with someone who understands how to interpret them.

Have you been seeing all the hormone content lately but still feel unsure what applies to you?

04/04/2026

If you’re a man and you’ve been feeling off lately…
low libido, poor sleep, more anxious, not yourself…

🚨 this is your sign to pause.

I see men who are successful, informed, doing everything “right”…
and they still don’t have the tools to understand what’s happening in their body.

Sometimes it’s not stress.
Sometimes it’s not just aging.
Sometimes, it’s your hormones.

And this is where testing matters! Not just testosterone, but the full picture: free + total testosterone, estrogen, thyroid, blood sugar, vitamin levels, even adrenal function.

✅ Because if you only check one number, you can miss the real issue.

You don’t have to keep guessing or pushing through feeling this way. Have you ever had your testosterone checked?

Men, this one’s for you! 💪⚡️

Most people have heard of menopause… but not as many are talking about andropause.

Andropause is the gradual decline of testosterone in men, often beginning in their 40s (sometimes even earlier!)

What’s interesting is that many of the symptoms look similar to menopause:
💤 Poor sleep
😴 Low energy
🫤 Anxiety or depression
⬇️ Decreased motivation
❌ Low libido

It’s often written off as a “midlife crisis,” when in reality, it may be a hormonal shift. When testosterone is evaluated and treated appropriately, it can significantly improve how men feel.

There’s so much more to unpack here, so stay tuned for more in this series!

Save this if you are in your 40s ⚡️

Sleep changes.
Energy shifts.
Weight becomes harder to manage.
Mood feels less stable.

And many women are told this is just part of “getting older.”

But in reality, this is a critical window for your health.

What you do in this decade has a direct impact on how you feel in your 50s, 60s, and beyond!

These are a few of the things I walk my patients through every day and they’re pulled directly from Chapter 6 of my book, The Hormone Manual.

Because your body isn’t working against you…
it’s asking for support.

🔗 Comment “Manual” and I’ll send you the link to get your own copy of my book to learn how to support your body through every stage!

A patient asked me something last week that I think every woman deserves to understand:

“What’s the difference in how you approach hormones?”

The answer is simple: I don’t just look at hormones. I look at the whole body. 🙌

Tori Spelling has been sick her whole life… and for far too long, her symptoms were brushed off, misdiagnosed, or left unexplained.

I recently sat down with to get to the bottom of her health story once and for all.

No one really understood her.
Doctors would run blood work, tell her everything looked “normal,” that she was “healthy”… but she felt anything but.

This is something I hear all the time in my practice. 😳

Most women come in focused on their hormones: perimenopause, menopause, trouble sleeping, anxiety, depression, all of it. And while hormones are incredibly important, there’s another piece that has to be addressed at the same time:

The gut.

If you don’t address your gut, you’re not going to feel as good as you should.

If you’ve ever left a doctor’s office with zero answers and a lot of self-doubt… this is for you. 🤍

Such a beautiful day in sunny California spent with women from all stages of life prioritizing their health! ☀️

I had the pleasure of talking all things hormones, nutrition, and GLP-1s alongside the wonderful co-panelist and moderating the conversation.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a meaningful conversation. 🤍

There are still so many myths about testosterone in women. 🤯

I hear them almost every day in my clinic!
Women are told that testosterone will make them too manly, increase aggression, or raise their risk of cancer.

Not true! Testosterone is actually a very important hormone for women.

In my practice, I’ve used testosterone therapy for nearly a decade to help women feel stronger, more alert, mentally stable, and increase their motivation and libido.

Like any hormone therapy, it requires a personalized approach. But when used correctly, it can do an amazing job at supporting overall vitality. 💯

The SoCal Wellness Summit is next week, and this year and I will be talking about all the hot topics:

🌸 Hormones
🌸 Nutrition
🌸 and GLP-1s!

Kasey Potts will be moderating again — this post is from the wonderful discussion she hosted last year. One thing we talked about that I think is so important to remember: estrogen is not poison. It plays a vital role in our bodies.

What questions would you like us to answer about hormones, nutrition, or GLP-1s?! Drop them below so we can start the conversation early ⬇️

Are you struggling with relentless fatigue, stubborn weight gain, digestive discomfort, or mood swings that seem to come out of nowhere?

You’re not alone. And more importantly, you’re not imagining it.

So many women are told their symptoms are just part of getting older or that everything “looks normal.” But when your body feels off, there is always a reason.

As a functional medicine doctor, I prioritize taking the time to understand your full health story and uncover the root causes behind what you’re experiencing. What I am NOT doing is simply managing your symptoms!

If you’re ready to move beyond temporary fixes and start addressing the root cause of your symptoms, the answer is here. 🤍

TWO weeks until the SoCal Wellness Summit 🤍

Last year, I had such a meaningful day connecting with women who are hungry for real answers, thoughtful conversations, and a better way to approach their health. The energy in the room was incredible!

I’m so looking forward to being back again this year to continue the conversation around root-cause, whole-body women’s wellness.

If you could go and ask one question, what would it be? 🎤

I can’t wait! ✨🌸

I recently came across a study evaluating women for breast cancer risk and placing those deemed “high risk” on an estrogen blocker for five years.

But HOW we approach prevention is so important.

Estrogen blockers can trigger significant menopausal symptoms—hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, low libido, mood changes, anxiety, bone density loss…

and yet we’re often not asking a deeper question:

❓ Why is the risk elevated in the first place?

Functional medicine isn’t about ignoring conventional tools, it’s about asking whether we’ve fully explored root causes before suppressing a system for five years.

Women deserve informed, individualized conversations.

🚫Not fear-based medicine.
🚫Not one-size-fits-all prevention.

Prevention should support your WHOLE body. 💯
