What medical treatment would we want if we were near the end of life? What if we were unable to express our wishes? Yes, this can be a difficult topic to discuss with our loved ones—yet, not talking about it can lead to a harder decision for our loved ones. Read “Celebrate National Healthcare Decisions Day” to find out about two simple steps to take. https://bit.ly/4aQhSIu

It’s National Walking Day! A few extra steps can help boost energy, support heart health, and lift your mood. Moving your body looks different for everyone, and every bit of movement counts. A short walk, a lap down the hallway, or even a little time outside in the fresh air can be a great way to feel refreshed.

On National Vietnam War Veterans Day, we recognize and thank the brave men and women who served during the Vietnam War. March 29 marks the day in 1973 when the last U.S. combat troops left Vietnam, and today, we honor their service, sacrifice, and resilience.

To all Vietnam veterans—thank you for your courage, dedication, and the sacrifices you made for our country. Your service will never be forgotten.

Bayberry hosted a specialized training with CCRI, "A walk in their shoes," which takes staff through a simulation experience to better understand living with dementia.

The challenges included compromised vision, hearing, and dexterity, which all affect cognition and how we perform our daily activities. It was such an eye opening experience! Thank you to all staff who participated.

Sweet traditions and even sweeter moments! 🍩💛

Our Health Concepts Food & Nutrition Services teams partnered with local community bakeries to celebrate St. Joseph’s Day by sharing delicious zeppole with residents and staff. These beloved Italian treats are a Rhode Island favorite and brought smiles all around! ✨

A special shoutout to the team at Bayberry Commons for going the extra mile and making their own — what a treat! 👏

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Did you know that St. Patrick wasn’t Irish? He was born in Britain and brought Christianity to Ireland over 1,500 years ago. Today we celebrate with green, shamrocks, and a little bit of cheer. It’s a fun day to enjoy friends, good food, and maybe even a little luck! ☘️
