Myself and my kids are performing in EPIC this year. Performing artists from around the state will be a part of this wonderful production. There will be dancing and vocal performances.
My son will be dancing and singing!
My daughter and I will be dancing!

EPIC celebrates the ways art can create awareness and inspire action. For our 2026 production, we are proud to support the LGS Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families impacted by Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS). LGS is a rare and severe form of epilepsy that presents lifelong challenges for those affected and their caregivers.

Yaya Yoga ca is 12 years old today!
YYCA became an official business on 11-12-13.
It’s been the best 12 years of working with children and families.
My kids have grown with my business and it’s been really special to have them as my helpers from mom & baby yoga to dance classes. It’s been so special and I hope when they look back at their childhood, they’ll remember all the classes, workshops, and fun events we did together. 🫶🏽

Sleeping Bunnies in Mindful Classroom. 🐰💤
As part of our last class together with 1st graders, we played a stillness and movement game. Being mindful of our bodies is important. It teaches us when we need to move and when we need to rest.
Within our 8 weeks together kids learned:
•Mindful breathing

•Mindful Emotions
•Mindful Listening
•Heartfulness
•Mindful Movement
•Mindful Thinking

Let me introduce myself:

I’m Ms. Vanessa. Not Misses because that’s too many ‘S’s’. 😆

I’m a Mom, wife, and lover of all things movement.

I’ve owned my company since 2013 where I’ve taught babies, kids, teens and families yoga and mindfulness from SF to Central Coast.

I was a school teacher for 7 school years and hold a BAE with a minor in dance. I also hold over 600 hours in yoga, mindfulness, and dance certifications. I like learning. 📕

Currently, I continue to run my yoga programs AND have taken on the roll of CAD Kids Director and Mini Company director at our local dance studio where both my kids also dance

I continue Mindfulness work at Georgia Brown Dual Immersion school where I get to see my kids on campus.

I’ve written two children’s yoga books and one is translated in Spanish. Check out my work!

This year I’ve recently re-found my love of Mexican Ballet Folklorico with where a group of adults and kids gather together with our love of Mexican cultural dance. My heart lives for it and I couldn’t be happier when I’m performing. Seeing my kids experience our culture through music and dance is so fulfilling. 🇲🇽

I love my work. I love to teach.
I love to dance and practice yoga.
And mostly I love building community, creating connections and taking all things out of life that I can.

Thanks for hanging out.
Sometimes as adults it’s ok to share all your accomplishments. We’ve worked hard for them. Call it bragging if you want. I call it story telling. 🪄
