Thank you to all of our sponsors, donors and attendees for helping us raise over $86,300 for mental health at the annual Helping Horses Help Kids & Others Gala.

This year the theme was Diamonds & Denim and everyone seemed to sparkle all night. We are so grateful to our speakers that spoke to the impact of our programs. So many individuals and businesses contributed to our silent auction, dessert table and wine pool that made the night incredible.

We can't wait to share photos and more impact from the evening soon.

Looking to get in to the holiday spirit? how about this holiday card painting workshop later this month?

Take some time to slow down and enjoy the present moment before the holiday rush. Join us for an afternoon of meditation while painting holiday cards and learning to write haiku for your own personalized inscriptions.

Open to all and no experience necessary. Your customized cards will celebrate any holiday that is important to you.

When: Saturday, November 22nd from 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM

We were so thrilled to be a part of a program with the Nisonger Center to offer groups to support adults with developmental disabilities and their direct service providers.
We were able to have two teams working with different herds so the adult clients and their providers could engage in different activities to help them meet their goals.

Several of the surveys mentioned that the horses were very kind and many of the group activities focused on building relationships in way that felt good to the people and the horses.

It has been so great to work on this project with one of our past interns, Jess Sable, who is so passionate about supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. We are a part of a great community of healers and helpers!

There's something unusual in the pasture!

Everything becomes a part of the story when we are with our clients. On this day a member of our team needed mobility assistance with the golf cart. Our client noted some of the horses got close right away, a few touched the cart with their noses and other horses avoided the cart.
The client said the cart was something unusual to the horses. For some horses it brought out fear and for others it brought out curiosity.

How can we be more curious when we encounter something unusual?
