Another proud milestone for the Health Coalition of Passaic County💛

We celebrated another MCH program graduate 🎓 and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. She shared how grateful she is for the support she received through our Maternal & Child Health program.

Moments like this remind us why we do this work every day.

We were also able to provide diapers, baby food, and a baby chair to help her continue building a strong, healthy future for her little one 👶🍼

🌍 **Celebrated World Food Day in Paterson!** 🌱

HCPC team celebrated **World Food Day** at *A Better Market*, proudly owned by local resident **Shana Manradge**, on Rosa Parks Blvd—right across from **Deacon Davis’s Green Acres Community Garden**.

We were honored to be joined by **author Mark Winne**, who helped found the County Food Policy Council and recently released a new book featuring a chapter on Paterson. His work highlights the powerful efforts of community leaders like Shana and Deacon Davis, who are strengthening our local food system every day.

Together, we’re building a healthier, more resilient, and more equitable food future for Paterson. 💚

The GirlTrek Black Maternal Health Awareness Walk, presented by the HCPC Healthy Women Task Force Team, was held on April 12, 2025 at Eastside Park in Paterson.

More than 40 community partners and local residents attended to walk in solidarity for Black maternal health.

The speaking program featured inspiring remarks from two Black women sharing their lived experience: Ms. Amy Allen, HCPC GirlTrek Community Champion and founder of Let’s Walk; and Ms. Janice Rainford.

Personal Highlight: It was powerful to see so many women gather together in solidarity for Black maternal health – even freezing rain couldn’t keep us away!

🌞 Good Morning from HCPC! 🌞

Today, Anthony made a special home visit to deliver and install an air conditioner for community member living with type 2 diabetes.

We first connected with them through a community outreach event at La Plaza. His home health aide voiced concern about him living without AC — a serious health risk given his condition.

Thanks to the HCPC Patient Support Fund, we were able to respond quickly.

👏 Huge shoutout to Anthony and Hackensack Medical Student Jude for delivering and installing the unit with care and compassion!

Our community member was deeply grateful — and we’re proud to be part of a team that truly puts patients first. 💙
