🌤️ Even when it is warm, it is important to stay protected! 🌤️
The forecast says it is going to be warmer for the next week, which means we are going to be spending a little more time outdoors. So, why not keep up to date on your vaccinations now that we are going to be out and about more often? 💉
Vaccines help protect against preventable illnesses and keep our community healthy, especially as seasonal illnesses can still spread.

Did you know?
Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) is a genetic disorder that affects red blood cells, causing them to become hard and crescent-shaped. This causes the blood cells to get stuck in the blood vessels. Common symptoms can include pain episodes, swelling of the hands and feet, fatigue, and other serious health complications.
The Sickle Cell Disease Care Program offers education about the disease, testing, and supportive services for patients living with SCD. These services include assistance with scheduling follow-up appointments, help applying for insurance, support with social services such as utility and housing resources. And access to community events where resources like groceries are provided free to SCD patients.

The Paterson Community Health Center was honored to partner with the Community Care Food & Clothing Pantry on December 17, 2025, for a special grocery giveaway for patients enrolled in PCHC’s Sickle Cell Disease Care Program. Patients with Sickle Cell Disease were able to select groceries and participate in healthy food classes led by the Community Care Food & Clothing Pantry staff. We will make sure we let patients know when and where the next event will be held.
