We often hear that as Christians, we should share "the gospel" or the "good news." At some point I realized I knew what that meant to me, but I wouldn't be able to articulate it well to someone who had never heard the truth.

Here is what Acts 13:33 says:

"We tell you the good news: What God promised our ancestors, he has fulfilled for us, their children, by raising up Jesus."

And if you go back to Acts 13:16 and read up to that point, you'll get Paul's explanation of the gospel that he gave in Pisidian Antioch to Jews and Gentiles.

So what do these phrases mean to you, and how do you explain them? Do you have any other verses that help guide your explanation?
