Someone changed my life when they suggested Reiki to heal my 250 lb plus body and broken self confidence. After failing at “diets” many times, I needed to step back and heal my inside energy FIRST- not focus on my outside issues.

SOOOO HOW DOES REIKI WORK?

Reiki healing operates on the principle that energy imbalances within our bodies can manifest as physical, emotional, or spiritual ailments. By using specific hand positions or even distant healing techniques, a Reiki practitioner acts as a conduit for healing energy, allowing it to flow through their hands and into the recipient's body. This energy helps to dissolve energetic blockages, restore harmony, and ignite the body's natural healing abilities.

Did you know that many hospitals have Reiki therapy as an alternative/supplemental service to help patients who have chronic pain, cancer and many other conditions?

Before I found Reiki, I was morbidly obese (150 lbs heavier --double my size) and my entire body was full of inflammation and I had 6 biopsies in 5 years for mysterious growths/inflammatory conditions. None of them were able to figure out what was wrong. I had diabetes, thyroid disease, anxiety and a host of other issues.

After my first session of receiving Reiki (for my health concerns), it all came together. The disconnect I had felt for so long between my physical, emotional and spiritual selves finally started to make sense. My "energy" was so clogged, blocked and trapped, that I felt so much ligther after my first session. I was buzzing with energy for 2 days, and then I crashed. I decided to commit to a 6 month journey with my Reiki Master Erica Onofrio at the time.

We discussed how I had been carrying around so much stress, chronic illness, work pressure, prior unresolved trauma and the normal burdens of a working mom with 3 kids.

I started going to see Erica once a month, and we had weekly checkins. I then decided to complete Level 1 training so I did not need to pay for someone else to give me Reiki. After the changes I started to feel, I knew this was just the beginning.

Fast forward to 2025, and I have had the pleasure of treating and meeting dozens of clients, and introducing hundreds of people to the amazing gift of SELF-CARE with REIKI!
