Smith Medical Clinic now has more providers volunteering with than we did before Covid! Because of the increase in providers, and Covid vaccine clinics in the afternoons, we are in real need of volunteer burses! Hours are flexible, and you can choose when and how often you would like to volunteer. A current nursing license is not necessary. Volunteering at SMC is a very rewarding experience! We have had two very successful weeks of Covid Vaccine Clinics here at SMC!! Huge heartfelt thanks go out to all of those who have helped make these clinics run so smoothly!! We have volunteers calling our patients daily to make appointments for the vaccine, volunteers checking patients in and out from their appointments, and volunteer nurses administering the vaccine and monitoring patients in the waiting room every Monday through Thursday from 1:00-3:30. Thank you, thank you, thank you! We couldn't do all of this without all of your help!! 🥰

We have missed you both, and are so glad that you are able to come back and provide translation services for our Spanish speaking patients, helping to ensure that our patients clearly understand diagnosis, procedures, prescriptions and follow up plans for optimal health outcomes.
Are you fluent in Spanish? If so, we need your help! SMC needs Volunteer Interpreters at both Pawleys Island and Georgetown locations on a regular basis, Monday through Friday.

We are so pleased to have returning to our clinics in March two familiar faces: Dr. Mitchell Devlin, Cardiology, and Dr. Rick Waterman, Gastroenterology!! Dr. Devlin will be seeing patients once a month in our Pawleys Island location, and Dr. Waterman will be seeing patients twice a month in our Georgetown location! Welcome back! We have missed you!

We are so excited to announce two new additional providers to our Tuesday PM Clinic at our Pawleys Island location!

Dr. Mark Owolabi is currently practicing Family Medicine at Tidelands Health Family Medicine on Holmestown Road in Myrtle Beach. He completed his Residency Program at Stanford University.

Donna Lampke, PT, is currently working full time for Navihealth, but is able to come on Tuesday evenings to provide physical therapy for our patients. She received her training and certification at Alabama State University.

Volunteers needed! Please help us spread the word!

We are currently seeking volunteers with medical backgrounds to fill the following positions: Nurses, Dermatologists, Gynecologists, Rheumatologists, and General Practitioners. We provide malpractice insurance at no cost to you. Nurses do not need to have a current license.

We also need volunteers who don't have medical backgrounds to help with various things in the clinic including: pulling charts, helping with faxes, front office help, front door health screeners, and more.

Come join our exciting team where the environment is friendly, and hours are flexible! CDC guidelines are in place to provide a safe environment for our patients, volunteers and staff. PPE is available for anyone to use, and we can also arrange for Covid vaccines if you plan to volunteer with us.
