🔥 It's been a joy getting to know him through different circles through the years and also now enjoy getting the opportunity to do training with the team at Baker Roofing Company!
1. Describe leadership in 3 words?
Empathy. Inspire. Intentional
2. Where have you seen the most growth in your own leadership journey?
I have seen the most growth in my ability to actively listen to my coworkers and team members along with my ability to mentor others. This has also allowed me to paint a clearer picture of where my team members currently stand in their own development. I can use what I have learned from my conversations with my team to best adapt and personalize my leadership style.
3. What is your current toughest leadership challenge in the roofing industry?
My toughest challenge would be creating accountability and maintaining motivation. The service piece of the roofing industry is heavily influenced by weather and our teams must be vigilant in not only obtaining new business but also managing the relationships that they have built.
It is easy to lose motivation if work is not coming in so we want to create a culture where our sales team maintains motivation and realizes that they are responsible for more than just their own book of business. Their efforts not only impact their personal goal but also the company and the people doing the work day to day(roofers).
