We have the largest selection of glasses in the area. We carry Costa, Oakley, Rayban, Maui Jim, Kate Spade, Marc Jacobs, Lilly Pulitzer, Coach, Michael Kors and the list goes on and on. We accept VSP, Eyemed and CEC (Tidelands Hospital).
We have some end of year specials that can be used for second pairs if you use insurance on the first pair. We have specials if you don’t have insurance.

We are accepting new patients. We take BCBS, Medicare, Aetna, Cigna and most Medicare Advantage plans. We accept VSP, Eyemed and CEC (Community Eye Care). Stop by to see our extensive frame selection. We carry Costa, Maui Jim, Ray Ban, and Oakley sunglasses as well. Our hours are M-Thursday 9am-5:30pm. Closed Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

New shipment of Oakleys… both sun and clear. All, with the exception of some specialty frames, can have prescription lenses put in them through Oakley. Come check them out.

Merry Christmas from our staff to all of our wonderful patients and eyeglass clientele. Our office will be closing at the end of the day on Dec. 23rd. We will reopen on Jan. 2nd. Thanks to all of you for a wonderful 2024.

We always wear white at the beach year around…. Notice the glare on the lenses on the round frame. Always add anti-reflective coating to your lenses to reduce the glare. You can see the difference on the lenses on the right with the non-glare coating.

Dr. Smith is a Tar Heel, born and raised a farmer's son in the small town if Fairmont, North Carolina. He graduated from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 1984 with a bachelors degree in Biology.
Following a 4-year Professional Therapeutic Optometric Program, Dr. Smith received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in 1988.
Dr. Smith's graduate externships were performed at the Memphis State University Eye Center and the Memphis Contact Lens Center. His training in these clinical settings emphasized advanced services in the areas of primary therapeutic eye care and specialty contact lens fittings.
Following his graduation Dr. Smith started his optometric career as the primary staff doctor at Ocean Optics in Myrtle Beach in 1988. With Ocean Optics subsequent growth into 3 locations Dr. Smith was soon serving the entire Grand Strand from Surfside Beach to North Myrtle Beach until his departure in 1999.
In 1999 Dr. Smith opened Lowcountry Vision Care, the first comprehensive eyecare practice in the Pawleys Island/Litchfield Beach area. Since then he has served thousands of locals, newcomers and visitors with the help of the worlds greatest optometric staff.
In his other life away from eye care Dr. Smith is "The Family Guy". His favorite times present and past have been with his wonderful wife Elizabeth and his great grown-up kids Andrew and Catherine.
