I’m a holistic therapist.
And I don’t want to be a social media influencer. So you won't see me posting much here.

There’s a lot of pressure in private practice to post more, share more, show more. To grow your brand. To stay visible. To turn your work into content.

But my work is slow. Relational. Embodied.

Healing happens in presence — in nervous system safety, in silence, in subtle shifts that don’t translate into algorithms very well.

When I have considered building my practice through constant visibility, something feels off. Tight. Performative. And I’ve learned to trust that feeling.

If I teach regulation, boundaries, and intentional living… then my business has to reflect that too.

So I choose:
• Depth over volume
• Sustainability over visibility
• Integrity over strategy

My practice may grow more quietly — but it grows in alignment.

And for me, that’s what holistic really means.

If you’re looking for therapy that values presence over performance, you’re in the right place.

And if you are a therapist feeling the same tension — I want you to know you are not alone.

We do not have to become a personality to build a practice.
We do not have to trade depth for reach.
We do not have to override our nervous systems in the name of marketing.

Alignment is not laziness.
It is integrity.

Cloudy days can quietly drain our energy and mood — and that’s where light therapy can be such a supportive tool. ☁️💡

This is something I often recommend to clients, especially during overcast days or seasons when natural sunlight is limited. Light therapy can help support mood, energy, circadian rhythms, and nervous system regulation by gently signaling to the brain that it’s time to be awake, alert, and engaged with the day.

I use it myself on cloudy mornings as a way to care for my nervous system and set the tone for the day. It’s a simple, accessible practice that doesn’t require perfection or a lot of time — just consistency.

As always, this isn’t about doing more — it’s about offering your system what it needs. Sometimes that looks like stepping outside into the sun, and sometimes it looks like bringing the light to you.

How do you support your mood and energy on cloudy days? 🌿

People so often ask me this question, “Don’t you get tired of listening to people complain all day?”

And my answer is always: No. Not even close.

Creating a safe space where people can share what they feel they can’t share anywhere else is a privilege I will never take for granted. We live in an emotion-phobic society that values intellect over emotional intelligence, and so many people walk around feeling alone, unheard, and unseen.

To sit with someone in their truth—without judgment—is sacred work.

What most people don’t see is the resilience, resourcefulness, and courage I get to witness every single day. Clients transform. They stretch. They heal. They choose themselves in ways that inspire me continually.

My clients help me maintain hope in humanity. Truly.
My job is a gift, and I’m deeply grateful for the trust people place in me.

AND — let’s be clear — therapy is not a place to come and “complain” about the same thing week after week. That’s not effective therapy. Effective therapy helps you see where your agency is and empowers you to take aligned action. It helps you grow, not stay stuck.

Holding space is part of the work.
Supporting change is the rest of it.

Happy Weekend, everyone!

If you’ve been feeling stretched thin… this is your reminder that it’s okay to pause.

It’s okay to set something down.

It’s okay to honor your capacity.

My new blog, “Taking the Time to Pause,” shares my own story of doing just that — and how giving myself permission brought more ease, clarity, and self-compassion.

I hope it gives you the nudge you need to take a pause today.

This past Fall, life got very full—personally and professionally. Within a single week, I joined a nonprofit and accepted a new contract position. Both roles came with new systems, processes, and responsibilities… and su...

Yes! Nervous system regulation in practice.

It doesn’t have to be complex or time-consuming.

“Shaking it out” is one of my favorite tools to help the body release built-up stress hormones and reset the system.

And if a friend joins in? Even better — co-regulation for the win! ✨

Today’s SOAR event was truly something special! ✨

A huge thank you to Kelly Shirley for her vision, leadership, and for hosting in her beautiful space Hutch and Hive Social House . I’m so grateful to have been a small part of it.

The connection, conversation, and shared energy made my heart sing. 💛 Being in a room with such amazing women was an absolute gift, and I’m already looking forward to more time together in the future.

If you weren’t able to attend, I encourage you to take a moment and reflect on the intention you want to carry into 2026. Consider creating your own vision board—give yourself time to dream, imagine, and anchor into what you want more of in the coming year.

Here’s to clarity, connection, and SOARing into 2026 with purpose. ✨

Love this!

Why are we all emotionally undone by monks who are… just walking?

Yes—there’s also Aloka, a rescued dog. Obviously. 🐾

Right now, Buddhist monks are walking 2,300 miles from Texas to Washington, D.C..

No protest signs.
No shouting.
No outrage.
No hot takes.

Just… walking.
For peace.

And yet—

People are lining the streets.
Tracking them online.
Crying in public.
Re-evaluating their lives mid-afternoon.

So what’s actually happening here?

Here’s the truth: We are
overstimulated,
overworked,
over-argued,
over-informed,
and profoundly under-rested.

And suddenly…
calm feels erotic.

Science backs this up, by the way.

Humans regulate better with:

simplicity

compassion

mindfulness

fewer notifications

Turns out your nervous system hates the news cycle.

And yes—when the rescue dog joined the pilgrimage, the attention doubled.
Aloka became the emotional support icon we didn’t know we needed.

Because this walk isn’t loud.
It isn’t clever.
It isn’t trying to convince you of anything.

It’s just embodied peace moving through a noisy world.

And your body recognizes that before your mind can explain it.

So maybe peace isn’t something we wait for.
Maybe it’s something we walk toward—
in small, unglamorous, everyday ways.

Peace can look like:
pausing before reacting
walking without your phone
choosing kindness over being right
breathing instead of spiraling
letting “simple” be enough

No robe required.

I always say this: You don’t wait for joy.
You place yourself on the path to it.

And yes—peace, pleasure, and prosperity are allowed to coexist.

And this is why the monks’ walk matters.

Not because it fixes the world overnight,
but because it regulates it.

Their steady steps slow people down.

Their silence gives permission to exhale.

Their presence reminds us—without preaching—that peace is a practice, not a performance.

For a moment, people feel safer in their own bodies.

Less alone in their overwhelm.

More willing to choose gentleness over urgency.

That’s the real impact.

They aren’t marching at anyone.

They’re walking with us—
showing, not telling, what calm looks like in motion.
You don’t wait for joy.

You place yourself on the path to it.
And yes—
peace, pleasure, and prosperity are allowed to coexist.

Today I was presented with a moment of choice—one we all face throughout our days.

I had 40 minutes before my next client.
Part of me whispered, “Sink into the recliner and scroll a bit.”
Another part nudged, “It’s gorgeous outside. Go walk. Go soak in the sun.”

And there it was: the choice between short-term satisfaction and long-term well-being.

I chose the walk… and it ended up being packed with glimmers. ✨
The warm sun on my skin, birdsong in the trees, the crunch of leaves under my feet, the breeze, the shifting light—tiny moments that reminded my nervous system, “You’re safe. You’re supported.”

Plus the physical benefits:
☀️ Vitamin D + serotonin boost
☀️ Stress reduction
☀️ Lower blood pressure + blood sugar
☀️ Stronger bones + muscles
☀️ Immune support
☀️ More regulated circadian rhythm

Truly, 10/10 the better choice if health and wellness is the goal.
We encounter these choice points all day long.
Wellness grows when we choose long-term nourishment over quick dopamine hits.
How will you choose wellness today?

Sharing a couple photos from my walk below—little glimmers that made the moment even sweeter. ✨

Warm, sunny winter days do wonders for my mood and energy ☀️

There’s something about the light, the warmth, and the reminder that softness still exists in the middle of winter.

What does wonders for yours?
