💚 National Self‑Care Day 💚

Today is a reminder that self‑care isn’t selfish—it’s essential. Taking time to care for your mental, emotional, and physical well‑being helps build resilience, reduce stress, and support overall wellness.

At CRCC, we encourage small, meaningful practices such as setting boundaries, resting without guilt, reaching out for support, and speaking kindly to yourself. Self‑care looks different for everyone—and that’s okay.

You deserve care every day, not just today. 💫

💙 National Autism Awareness Day – April 2 💙

Today, we recognize National Autism Awareness Day, a time to honor the strengths, experiences, and voices of individuals on the autism spectrum.

At CRCC, we believe autism is not something to be “fixed,” but a form of neurodiversity to be understood, supported, and respected. Every individual deserves access to compassionate, affirming mental health care that meets them where they are.

Awareness is just the beginning. Today and every day, we commit to:
✨ Promoting understanding and acceptance
✨ Supporting individuals and families with evidence‑based, person‑centered care
✨ Creating inclusive environments where everyone can thrive

Let’s continue learning, listening, and advocating—for acceptance, dignity, and belonging for all.

🌈 National LGBT Health Awareness Week 🌈

This week, CRCC proudly recognizes the importance of mental health in the LGBTQ+ community.

LGBTQ+ individuals often face unique stressors—discrimination, stigma, isolation, and rejection—that can deeply impact mental well‑being. At CRCC, we believe that affirming, trauma‑informed mental health support is essential to healing and thriving.

🧠💛 This week, we honor and uplift LGBTQ+ mental health by:
• Providing safe, inclusive spaces for survivors of all identities
• Offering compassionate, trauma‑informed counseling and advocacy
• Educating our community on the importance of mental health equity
• Standing against stigma and supporting resilience and empowerment
Everyone deserves to feel supported, affirmed, and seen.

CRCC is here for you — this week and every week. 🌟

Being LGBTQ+ isn’t a mental illness. However, many LGBTQ+ people experience mental health struggles linked to societal stigma, discrimination, and denial of their civil and human rights.

🥗 March is National Nutrition Month!
This year’s theme, “Discover the Power of Nutrition,” highlights how the food we eat directly supports both our physical and mental well‑being.

Good nutrition doesn’t just fuel the body — it also plays a meaningful role in:
• Mood regulation and emotional balance
• Cognitive performance and mental clarity
• Energy levels and stress resilience
• Overall brain health and focus

This month is the perfect time to build small habits that support a healthier mind and body, like:
🥦 Adding colorful fruits and vegetables
💧 Staying hydrated for improved memory and focus
🍽️ Sharing meals with others — social connection supports mental health too

At CRCC, we’re committed to promoting whole-person wellness. Food is more than nourishment — it’s a powerful tool for supporting emotional well‑being and lifelong health.

https://nutrition.org/how-to-boost-mental-health-through-better-nutrition/

The foods we eat affect our mental health. Current evidence supports that diet has a role in psychological health.

💙 March is National Traumatic Brain Injury Awareness Month
Every 9 seconds, someone in the U.S. sustains a traumatic brain injury, and 5.3 million Americans live with a TBI-related disability.
TBIs can result from falls, motor vehicle accidents, sports injuries, and more. Survivors often face long‑term physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges — and each injury is unique.

🧠 This Month, We Focus On:
Awareness & Prevention
Reducing Stigma around “invisible” injuries
Supporting Survivors & Families
Sharing resources and education

💚 How You Can Show Support:
Wear blue or green to spark conversations
Share facts and reliable resources
Offer encouragement to survivors and caregivers
Participate in awareness events or workshops

At CRCC, we’re here to support individuals and families affected by traumatic brain injury with care, resources, and community connection.
