Are you making your New Year’s goals?
So for me, it’s getting myself into that gentle movement and connecting with my body for me.
This is what the practice of tai Chi is for me.
Everybody’s experience is different. That’s why working in person with a teacher that can connect with you,Talk with you and also share The practice. Is my goal for this year. 

...but, you will still begin to increase happiness!
In your first several classes, you will most likely experience you lack coordination to do Tai Chi,
but, you may still begin to increase happiness!
Perhaps several weeks into learning Tai Chi, you still can't remember the movements without the teacher present,
but, you may still begin to increase happiness!
No matter how many years go by, you will still not have all the movements perfected, or know all there is to know,
but, you may now have found the happiness you seek!

Ayurveda & Winter foods:

1. Kitchari
A comforting blend of mung dal, basmati rice, ghee, and warming spices like cumin, ginger, and turmeric. Gentle on digestion and deeply nourishing.

2. Root Vegetable Stew
Sweet potatoes, carrots, beets, and parsnips simmered with ghee, cinnamon, and cloves — grounding and perfect for balancing Vata energy.

3. Golden Milk (Turmeric Latte)
Warm milk infused with turmeric, black pepper, cardamom, and a touch of honey. Ideal for soothing the body and boosting immunity.

4. Spiced Lentil Soup
Red lentils cooked with garlic, ginger, cumin, and coriander. A hearty, protein-rich dish that keeps you warm and satisfied.

5. Ghee-Roasted Nuts
Almonds and cashews lightly roasted in ghee with a sprinkle of Himalayan salt — a nourishing snack that supports warmth and strength.

6. Stewed Apples or Pears
Cooked with cinnamon and cardamom for a sweet, digestive-friendly breakfast or dessert.

7. Herbal Teas
Ginger, tulsi, and cinnamon teas to promote circulation and balance the cold, dry qualities of winter.

Welcome vata season
Let’s keep ourselves lubricated
One of those ways is to oil the nasal passage
You can do a daily Nasya (oiling the nasal passage) with sesame oil or ghee.

Lubricating the sinuses in the winter months will help with a dryness that we so easily can have.
The simple technique of Nasya is the lubrication of the sinuses, the nasal passage.
For this, you can simply add a dab of Oil into the nasal passages and allowed to lubricate the area. You do not want to do this. If your nose has water in it, you do not want to do it if you have a cold or infection.
You can use oil such as olive oil, sesame, or even ghee

Welcome to our Paxton Space

As I am sitting here today,one year later, it is incredible to be here.

I opened this space just one year ago, and the feeling of excitement, joy and fear are all here. Still learning as we go along with this journey and blessed to share this space with you.

I opened Metta Wellness in Shrewsbury, MA in 2012, and still working their doing massage, Ayurveda and Thai yoga massage. Over the years, as my work grew, and my clients needs have changed, the need for a second location came to be more then a flutter in the backdrop. Last year we found this location in Paxton, MA and over a few months of working, cleaning and dreaming we are now open.

Paxton is a holistic wellness space offering Ayurveda, Massage, Thai yoga along with wellness classes. We are creating a collaboration among wellness and holistic healers that can come together in a space and work with their clients. Our goal is to bring you options in your wellness journey from massage to reiki along with having herbal teas for you to relax, enjoy and take some of your journey home.
