As we approach Veterans Day, we want to feature some of our wonderful residents who have served. Today, we honor Audrey Kent.

Audrey was born in 1920 in Salt Lake City. Shortly after graduating with a nursing degree, she enlisted in the Army as a nurse after learning of the attack on Pearl Harbor. She was stationed at the Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco, where she cared for soldiers wounded in battle arriving on ships at the Presidio. After her discharge in 1946, Audrey continued her nursing career at several hospitals in Southern California for over 30 years, raising a family along the way and touching the lives of many.
