You want my HONEST opinion?
Geriatric animal chiropractic is way less about “fixing” and way more about helping older bodies not have to work so hard just to get through the day.
When pets get older, they’re amazing at quietly working around stiffness, old injuries, and sore spots. They don’t usually make a big deal out of it, they just want to be a “good dog”. Sometimes we don’t even notice they move differently, rest more, and stop doing little things they used to love in order to keep going.
What I see regular chiropractic care help with most is:
>>> Moving a little easier getting up and down
>>> Being less stiff after naps or sleep in general
>>> Being more comfortable on walks (or just around the house)
>>> Honestly… just seeming more settled in their body
Adjustments are always super gentle.
This isn’t some dramatic cracking situation. Most older animals relax into it and you can immediately see the gratitude in their eyes.
The part people don’t expect is how helpful it is to understand what their body has been compensating for over the years.
We are not here to chase youth, but to support where they’re actually at now.
I always tell people: it’s not about making your senior pet act like a puppy again even though sometimes we comment that they do seem to feel like a puppy after! 🐾
…it’s more about making their everyday life feel a little easier and less guarded.
Sometimes we are just making them as comfortable as possible in the time they have left and isn’t that something we all want for our animals in their final years?
