A little about me :)
- I LOVE being an optician (I had the world's best mentor, 1987)!
- I'm all about doing the right thing...not just making the sale
- I'll put lenses in frames that other places won't touch (saving you $!)
- I prefer to work by appointment to give each person their own time
- I don't wear fancy clothes...lab work can be dirty stuff :)
- No manicures for me...chemicals will ruin them in short time...true working hands :)
- I always try answer the phone, and if I'm busy, I'll call you back. I know I hate leaving voicemails, wondering when I'll get a call back. Yes, sometimes I can't pick up on a call waiting, but you'll hear from me very soon after.

I have been in the industry since 1987 and have owned my own shop since 2006. I provide exceptional care, backed by the highest of morals and ethics --- never selling unnecessary product for my financial gain. As an independent shop, I have access to the finest progressive lenses (at very reasonable prices), frames fitting petite through XL, and the most diverse collection of eyeglasses for infants and young children. I am the owner/optician of The Eye Place. I received my BS in Biology / Medical Technology from Salem State College in 1987. After graduating, I moved in a different direction, taking a job in the lab at Lenscrafters - where I gratefully apprenticed under a very knowledgeable and talented optician, who taught me everything I know and then some. In 1992, I moved out of the corporate, retail sector, and began working for an ophthalmology practice, until opening my shop on May 8, 2006...and never looked back!

Here, at The Eye Place, I have chosen to do things a bit differently than other optical shops. I feel it is my job to educate and guide my customers towards choices that best suit their needs. I do not “hard sell” or push products that I do not feel are necessary. I feel my shop offers an inviting, comfortable, easy going atmosphere! I always have and will continue to provide unmatched care throughout all aspects of your eyewear needs. Come by and say hello!
